Read on to know about Parth Samthaan's actual version of the whole controversy.
There has been a lot of speculation about what went wrong between you and Vikas, please give a clear idea of what exactly went wrong? Has it been difficult?
Yes, it was a difficult time for me, it was nothing less than a shock. I did not expect so much of things happening in my life, especially around New Year's, which is when people enjoy their lives and have a great time. But, unfortunately, things weren't good for me. I was sad and hurt but the immense support from my family, friends, you guys and fans have been instrumental.
I always believe in spreading positivity and happiness, which is exactly what I have done all my life and is quite evident through all my work and other things. Currently, I am just focusing on the workshops for my film and I am really excited for my debut. So, I just want to focus on the good things happening in my life and my work. Because, we are here for work and I am sure you would like to see a lot of work happening, not only pertaining me but also other people for that matter.
In almost every interview, you have thanked Vikas for helping you, then what led to the filing of a legal (Police) complaint against him?
Basically, we were great buddies and have been so, since a long time. Yes, he did helped me to work for 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan' and the show did wonders for all of us, not only for me. But, unfortunately things didn't work out between us and we had to part our ways. Later I did another show for him, 'Pyar Tune Kya Kiya' and some misunderstandings took place and payments weren't done. So, I chose to go the legal way in order to get my money recovered, so that's about it. There is nothing beyond that and nothing against him. I still respect him and still have those friendly relations with others too. But, these things have happened unexpectedly. So, I am just trying to sort things out and end it as soon as possible.
Being a celebrity, didn't you think that this controversy and legal war will affect your career along with spoiling your's and Vikas' reputation?
I am a very private person. And of course, more than celebrities or anything else, we are all humans. If one is not satisfied with something, or something goes wrong in life and he/she is in trouble, that person would go the legal way, as simple as that. And, that's what I did. But I had no intentions of going through the media, I have no idea how that happened, but if you can see I was silent throughout the whole thing. Now that I have to justify, in a way, I am giving a decent justification to mend things. I don't want to disrupt more and play the blame game in the web of truth and lies. I don't want to get into that zone and want to move on. As I have said before, I had no intentions of going in media. Also, because I am working on my film, I have to make sure that I am on the safer side and that's exactly what I am trying to do. I want to be positive, focus on my work and am trying to stop this as soon as possible.
It has been a kind of loggerhead battle where the fans are supporting you and people from the industry are supporting Vikas? What would you want to comment on that?
Actually, I was kind of taken aback by it because I don't know anyone, like I haven't met many of them personally. Also, I don't know much about how many people tweeted or posted and what did they post. But if they want to support and all, they surely can, it's their life. I cannot justify to them that this is wrong or this is right. Everyone has a different perception because we are humans, like I said.
There are people supporting me and there are people supporting him, but more than that it's not like me against him or the industry against me as I also work in this industry, where the media and my fans have loved me through it. If I was getting out of the industry, it would have been a different story, but I want to very much be a part of it. I don't have anything against these people as it's their perception, let them say whatever they have to say as it's their life, I can't help it.
For the fans and people who support me, I want to thank you all for supporting me always. You guys have been my backbone. Thank you for giving me that strength, that confidence to face you guys again on the camera and telling you what's happening.
What is your take on Ekta Kapoor's statement on this controversy?
Fortunately, I had a word with Ekta Mam on the very same day when this article was out and she told me that she had only mentioned about me and Vikas being friends and about us travelling to different places. But, she hasn't mentioned anything beyond that, the rest of the story, whatever was printed was pretty much cooked up by the editor and was misinterpreted and misunderstood. Luckily, Ekta Mam and I have a nice understanding. She is a very generous human being, and very nicely, she told me everything, so I understood what her side was.
A message for all the fans who have supported you..
This is a must-reach message for all the fans... For all the fans who tweeted, posted, did a lot of edits and have sent me a lot of love... I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I swear, you guys have supported me so much which has given me so much of confidence.
My family, my friends and you guys have been there, so hopefully I take all the positivity from everyone and move on ahead. I believe in spreading happiness, so I hope everyone stays happy and of course, I want to be happy too, so I am focusing on good things and being positive, especially to see how things work out for films. So yes, I am excited about it and lots of love.
