I officially welcome you to the heavenly abode of craziness, where you can't move a step without encountering, like a dozen shampoo bottles.
Here, the devotees sit around a ice chunk and chant, "Achhe Shampoo, pyaare Shampoo! Achhe Shampoo, pyaare Shampoo!"
Today, there is a lot of hustling and running about. Fellow devotees run around between the sixth and the seventh clouds desperate to get them rightly floated. They hang up new shampoo bottles flanked by arrows and red hearts. They light fires at the corners.
You must be wondering wondering, why?
Well, today it is the day, which the craziest devi of the lot had chosen to incarnate in this strangely sane world, some eighteen years ago.
So today, with everyone of you, I take the opportunity to humbly praise her highness, as she comes by along with the Duke and Duchess of her heart, I mean, Shaheer and Pooja!
So hold your breath, as she descends from her divine chariot, driven by a thousand Shakuni mamas, and slowly leads the couple (as always) onto their special royal throne.
"Ah, me! She looks gorgeous!" exclaimed Mahima devi.
"And the white shirt!" said Sayu devi.
The craziest devi looked around in delight with this admiration. A little thought twirled in the back of her mind, white shirt? She wore a long flowing gown!
Her doubts were all cleared when she was pushed aside by the swarm of devotees, eager to get just a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess.
Felling dejected (and a little jealous) she sank down onto her little throne in the corner.
But as the saying goes, Gods never desert a man.
Shaheer stood up with a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Where's the devi who brought me here?" asked he. Sayu and Mahima ran to get her. "He's calling for you, idiot!" said Mahima while Sayu spoke, "You should have stayed near! How long shall he wait for you!"
Rubbing off the tears, she went up to them. To the surprise of all, and rage of some, Shaheer went up and hugged her! Pooja followed, while Mahima handed the bemused devi a selfie stick.
