David Thewlis concedes J.K. Rowling's recent controversial announcement about Dumbledore threw him for a loop. Fans gather for Harry Potter filming

Families made their way to Lacock last night with high hopes of seeing Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, but only caught a glimpse of the set that Dan was due to walk down as part of Warner Bros' production of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Scenes shot with the star are due to take place tonight and tomorrow, with heavy security in place to keep the public out. [more...]

Harry Potter starts filming tonight in Lacock

Cast and crew begin filming the latest blockbuster movie tonight in Lacock, England. Villagers have been working with the crew for a number of days to help prepare the set for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Rare Harry Potter book sells for record price

A rare first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone has fetched the record-breaking price of 19,700 at auction. The first book in J.K. Rowling's bestselling series had an initial print run of only 500 copies. Many of the first editions of the book were bought by libraries and have since disintegrated or are in very poor condition.
