Are Fitoor and Neerja releasing too close to each other?

Fitoor is releasing on 12'th Feb...Neerja on 19'th...isn't that too close to each other? The target audience is similar i.e. multiplex audiences and not those who like the typical commercial, masala films. Hence, don't understand the logic of releasing these films so close. I mean, Tamasha and Hate Story 3 for example would have completely divergent audiences so I can understand releasing them close to each other.

Sanam Re is also releasing with Fitoor.

I guess it's alright for small films.

neerja is one movie i would have rooted the loudest for..seems interesting..had the lead actress been different

trying to be unbiased..i feel fitoor has massive buzz..more than neerja..also katrina's star power..songs..love story etc gives it an edge...neerja on the other hand got to be really good considering these odds against it plus sonam's presence which is another negative against the movie

Whichever movie that has better screenplay, it will work at BO.. That said, I really want Neerja to work for Neerja herself.. Otherwise I don mind Fitoor, its also a film that I have been waiting for so long due to GE..

I don't think anyone is going to bother seeing that. The trailer was horrendous, bland cinematography; poor direction and the screenplay from what I saw in the trailer makes no sense. (The locations held my interest more and that is always a bad thing unless you are shooting for a tourism add😆). Looks like four people got up one day, decided to shot a movie in three good locations and voila.

Neerja will depend on WOM. If its good, it will kick on to do well. But then it has Sonam, she ruined the trailer for me, imagine how the movie will be. I don't think it will open big, Sonam has zero BO pull and her being the only main lead may push people further away. But hey, I could be wrong.😆 As I said, it can definitely pick up on WOM.

Fitoor has great buzz atm. They have marketed it wonderfully. First there was nothing and then they started with stills, posters gaining momentum and then dropped the trailer. Its UTV after all, they are marketing giants, probably the best in the industry. Look at what they did with Haider, PK etc. Not giving everything, just enough to get people excited so that they can experience the story unravel in the theaters.

The music looks brilliant and it will add to the hype. The trailer was great too, very well cut. They have done everything right so far, posters, trailer, music; now the only thing that remains is for the movie to be good (exceptional preferably for me😆).

Ark kat Jodi will help fitoor

Fitoor is bigger than Neerja in everyway.

ARK is a rage as a lover boy, thanks to Aashiqi. Despite kat's revolting action in emotional scenes, she is looking ravishing and its clear from the trailer that theres going to be skin show and kiss scenes. Thats kat's forte and she is going to bring audience in. If a couple of songs become popular, I expect the movie to do very well.

Fitoor will surely take a much bigger initial than neerja though everything will then depend on wom. The main leads if fitoor gives confidence in the product while same can't be said for neerja.
