"How dare she!" Twinkle shouted in anger.
Kunj kept quiet not wishing to transfer her fury onto him.
"And you!" Kunj sighed as he berated himself for thinking he could be let off the hook that easily. "You just had to stand there and grin like a buffoon right? Couldn't you have, oh I don't know, shown your ring?" Twinkle asked, raising his hand that had the gold marriage band fastened securely onto his finger.
"Twinkle, you're getting mad for nothing! All she wanted was directions on how to get to the hotel." Kunj tried defending himself.
"Oh of course she was! First it's directions to the hotel, then it'll be directions to your hotel room. And before you know it, she'll be directing your junk into her hole!"
"Twinkle!" Kunj exclaimed, mortified that she will have the audacity to broach the topic in such detail while they were sitting in public. Taking a deep breath, Kunj tried again. "Twinkle," He placed his hand on top of hers but she removed it, crossed her arms and looked away. "Twinkle, trust me. Nothing would have happened between us."
"Us?" Twinkle exclaimed, popping her eyes so wide Kunj was afraid they would fall out of her sockets.
"U-us meaning, me and her. Baby, everything will happen to us, because you're my... everything." Kunj supplied lacking for better words.
He cupped her face in his hands but she wouldn't hear any of it.
"You're not getting off that easy. I'm going to the spa to get rid of an unwanted headache." Twinkle announced, standing up. "If you need me, don't bother calling. I won't pick up."
"Twinkle!" Kunj called out as she walked away.
In her absence, Kunj banged his head against the table and groaned out loud.
