"Twinkle!" Kunj shouted, exasperated in not being able to find the shirt that he had picked out last night for his conference meeting today.
"What do you want?" Twinkle shouted back, irritated that her husband would rather communicate by yelling from a different room rather than pay her a visit in the kitchen and speak with her.
"Where's my shirt?" He yelled, pulling all his shirts out from the cupboard, wondering if she had put it back and shifted it to the back somehow.
"Which one?" Twinkle yelled, straining the veins in her hands and the muscles in her arms against the dough she was kneading.
"The red one! The one I took out yesterday." Kunj shouted, ruffling up the clothes that were laid on the bed now, as a heaping mountain.
"How should I know! If you took out, then you should know where you put it." Twinkle rolled her eyes, preferring to concentrate her attention on the task at hand.
"Twinkle! If I knew I wouldn't be asking you na?" Kunj yelled, poking his head out of the door. "I need it now!"
"Kunj! If I knew I would have told you na?" Twinkled yelled back, moving her head in his direction. "I don't know where it is!"
"Twinkle!" Kunj shouted once more, this time marching towards his wife.
"Kunj!" Twinkle shouted back, dropping the dough and walking fast towards him.
"Will you-!" They both began in unison but stopped when they crashed into each other.
"Ouch!" Twinkle exclaimed holding her head while Kunj covered his chest, now greased with wet dough.
"Will you help me out?" Kunj pleaded.
"What about you helping me out?" Twinkle asked in return, offended. "Making dough is not that easy you know."
"Fine! I'll make the dough, you go find my shirt. And please," Kunj held Twinkle back before she could dash into the bedroom, "Please do wash your hands before you decide to dirty up the rest of my clothes."
Twinkle looked down at her hands and pursed her lips. She shook her head and then broke out in a grin before they both departed to do each other's duties.
