Why didn't they save Yuvraj with the maani??

Here is a question they got the Maani from Anamika. Then in the process to kill Anamika the Yuvraj jumped in between and saved her, but got killed... So why didn't they use the Naagmaani on him and save him??
They had for the Naagrani!!

When did they use the naagmani for the naagrani? Maybe it doesn't work on those who are stabbed... Idk 😆
