There are so many exceptionally talented singers who are so underrated in Bollywood.
In the craze for Arijit and Atif, so many talents are hidden.
Don't get me wrong. I love Arijit! I am talking about Mohammed Irfan in particular.
You remember his Phir Mohabbat, don't you? It was enchanting and is my all time favourite song. He has such magic in his voice, pure magic. Last year, he sang Banjaara which was one of the best songs of the year. I am not saying that he should have won the Filmfare award but he could have been nominated atleast. Ankit's Galliyan deserved the award but no harm in a nomination, right?
He wasn't even nominated for "Baarish" which was soothing and subtle yet extremely addictive.
There is also Saim Bhat. Most people haven't even heard of him.
He also sang Phir Mohabbat and he was the star of the song, even better than Irfan and Arijit.
He had the most diificult part to sing.
"Kuch Bhi Nahin Jab Darmiyaan,
Phir Kyun Ha Dil Tere Hi Khaab Bhunta,
Chaha Ki Den, Tujhko Bhula,
"Par Yeh Bhi Mumkin Ho Na Saka----aaa-aaa".
That was the BEST part of the song. And Saim even sang Aye Khuda from the same movie but now after four years of the movie's release, Saim has only four bollywood songs to his credit.
We should appreciate talents like Saim and Irfan. Even Arijit was really underrated before Tum Hi Ho but Irfan has proved his worth far many times.
