What is Original Ramayan ?

WHAT IS "ORIGINAL RAMAYAN" ?

If Hinduism itself is founded upon the bedrock that there are several paths all leading to the same God, if vedas itself have six philosophical analysis, if constant revelation of a new meaning and purpose with the eternal truth the basis of one of the ways, Vedanta what is the need to restrict ourselves to one author and one interpretation only?

for me, the original Ramayan is the one my mum narrated to me, throughout my girlhood days...

and I am open to all the new readings,meanings and interpretations, and feel more and more enlightened and enriched with the new knowledge with the realisation that really, Indian philosophy truly deserves its numero uno position in the world.

and just like T.S.Eliot, a great believer Of Indian philosophy ,who ended his poem "the wasteland" with the following words, I too would like to do the same

"OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI"
