audience today, like trade analysts said, would go to see a movie coz of deepika padukone not ranbir kapoor..they did but they were disappointed that she was barely there

makers were too hesitant on showing too much of ranbir in promos..they tried there best to show more of deepika to pull crowd but it back fired coz in actual movie she was hardly there

also yeah 2nd half was really slow

Really? I thought Ranbir and Deepika were shown equally in the promos..Which makes sense cos their pairing is popular and it was in sync with their effed up strategy for promotions. If the makers were hesitant to show Ranbir, they wouldn't have randomly added Ranbir lip-syncing to Heer toh badi sad hai in the promos when in reality, it was a solo Deepika song in the film 😆 And whatever happened to all the arguments that content reigns supreme? If Tamasha was a good film with universal appeal, it wouldn't have mattered who had more screen time in the film..I get that Ranbir has delivered 4 flops in a row but common, this is taking it a lil too far 😆

Exactly!! Badlapur had both performance and story. Juhi Chaturvedi did an amazing job with Piku's script. Tamasha had a gheesa peeta storyline, that too was presented in a really weird way. It did not feel innovative, it felt weird in a bad way. Whatever positive reviews the movie did get was because of Ranbir and Deepika's acting.

All the reasons mentioned above doesn't mk sense
The REAL reason is WRONG release time

When it released everyone was under the PRDP spell and

The week following tamasha released hate story 3 released

So basically tamasha didn't get the window to do proper business

It was sandwiched between PRDP AND HATE STORY 3

otherwise it wud hv done at least 90 cr given the movie wasn't as bad as some is making is out to b but the release timing was very wrong
