First of all he wants Pragya to be her regular self as he has known her. And he believes Tannu's pregnancy was a mistake he did unconsciously and he hopes Pragya gets over shipping TaBhi and takes her promise back! Kulsum when Pragya came back, Abhi told her let's get married. Similar to what he said during confession where he hoped she stays with him despite everything.

He is not old school idealistic like Pragya, who believes parents should be with the baby no matter what (even if they love other people/pull each other's hair). Nor does Abhi believe in PRO-life. He clearly sees Tannu's baby as a mistake he made unconsciously and doesn't want to do something he can never have his heart in for the sake of it (marrying Tannu). He is fair to think he doesn't need to marry Tannu here, no one should be forced to marry someone with whom you are tricked to have a baby.

The guilt Pragya talked about was for herself more than him. He clearly said during confession he can't be happy with Tannu or she can't be happy with him.
I feel bad for him that he believes Pragya might put their love above everything and actually would stay with him. No she won't. She is too much into her ideals and guilt to look beyond them and see what her heart or his heart wants. She will only come back to him if he is baby free! It takes guts and alternative thinking for Pragya to make a so called "wrong" decision there to stay with him although she wants him with all her heart. She truly doesn't have that.
