Part 57

Asad was very happy dat he will be a father. He is now confident dat he will be a good father. He still remembers his bitter conversation wid Zoya once abt d baby.

-----Flashback-----

It was a month since Zoya filed for divorce. One day, some women relatives came to KV. They did not knew abt d divorce thing but they knew dat Asad n Zoya were not on good terms. Zoya came out reluctantly thinking Asad will talk trash abt her to them.

"Asad beta, I heard dat ur & Zoya's relationship is not going well? Is sumthn wrong wid Zoya?" asked an elderly woman of Dilshad's age(A).

"Yaa, all wrongs can be wid me only n Asad is very nice who can never do anything wrong," said Zoya wid a sarcastic smile shocking everyone.

"Wats d matter between both of u?" asked another elderly woman of Dilshad's age(B).

"Our marriage was a mistake so we r going thru a divorce period. After 2 months, we will be divorced," replied Zoya.

"Zoya, wat r u saying?" asked Asad shockingly.

"I don't want to lie or hide anything. After 2 months, everyone will anyways come to know abt dis," replied Zoya.

"Zoya, u sud dress up in Indian clothes not these western clothes," said an elderly woman who was of Dilshad's mother's age(C).

Zoya was wearing a black sleeveless knee-length dress.

"Why sud I not wear these clothes?" asked Zoya wid irritation, "Now I wonder 4m where Asad got all these regressive mindset even after being Dilshad aunty's son."

"U call ur mother-in-law as an aunty?" asked a woman who was of Asad n Zoya's age(D).

"Cuz I hate them. Simple," replied Zoya widout any emotions shocking everyone.

"Asad, Zoya, wateva problems u have u sud sort out among urselves rather than divorcing. U both sud try for a baby then everything will be right. U both sud get intimate wid each other n fulfill each others physical needs n then plan for a baby," said B.

Asad was initially happy inside at d thought of his n Zoya's baby but soon it was replaced by nervousness as he knew Zoya will react by saying sumthn which will hurt him a lot.

"Wat d hell is wrong wid u?" asked Zoya shockingly wid anger, "Do u really think dat a baby will make everything alright between us? No. U r wrong. 1^st of all, no one dis age starts a family so soon. Secondly, there has to be love between a couple to get close to each other which we don't have even a bit. We can't even get intimate let alone plan for a baby. A baby will not make everything alright but in fact it will make things even more worse. If a boy is born then due to Asad dat boy will bcum rude, arrogant, insensitive, regressive, orthodox, abusive, ill-mannered, hypocrite like him. He will also hurt anyone he feels like n judge girls by their clothes. He will also hurt women he don't like. And if a girl born then due to Asad dat girl will bcum weak, timid, traditional, shy like Najma. She will bcum how Asad had made Najma. She will be afraid to ask for wat she wants in fear of Asad's anger. She will never voice her opinions n keep everything buried within herself. She will be always forced to wear traditional clothes. She will not be allowed to live a modern lifestyle. She will not be able to live life according to herself. She will hardly be ever happy. She will have fake her happiness sometimes for her family's sake. These all things will happen if a baby comes between them. So, I don't want a baby wid dis man as he can never be a good father. For a good father, one has to be a good human being which Asad is definitely not. U all only know how to interfere in others matters n give ridiculous advices like getn pregnant wid someone u don't get along not having knowing how bad ur idea actually is."

Everyone was shocked wid wat all she said. D relatives were to shocked to respond to her. Asad, Dilshad n Najma were also shocked. Asad felt his eyes moist. He was ashamed of himself. He felt dat cuz of him, Zoya is very angry wid him n hates him very much.

"Zoya, don't talk like dis in front of relatives," said Tanveer.

"U don't tell wat to talk n wat not to talk," said Zoya rudely shutting her up.

"Plz, don't talk abt Asad n Zoya now," requested Dilshad.

"Don't ever interfere in our matters n give ridiculous solutions to us like having a baby," said Zoya rudely.

D relatives then talked abt other things wid Dilshad, Asad n Najma. Zoya was there to see if Asad trashes abt her to d relatives. D relatives left after an hour.

"Zoya, why u remained here?" asked Najma.

"I was here to see wat Asad trashes abt me to them," replied Zoya.

"Zoya, u r thinking me wrong," said Asad shockingly.

"Don't pretend to be nice wen we all know u r not," said Zoya rudely n left d hall.

"Bhaijaan, u have hurt everyone a lot," said Najma unhappily n left d hall wid Dilshad.

Asad was again hurt. He was thinking whether he will ever get happiness of a good husband & a father. He again thought of Zoya's words abt their babies n felt sad.

Zoya snapped her fingers before Asad's face.

"Where r u lost?" asked Zoya.

"I just remembered dat day wen u told me dat I can never a good father," replied Asad.

"Dat was old thing. We sud forget dat now," said Zoya.

"I know," said Asad n picked her up in his arms.

"Wat r u doing?" asked Zoya confusingly.

"I am very happy 2day," replied Asad wid a smile n placed her on d bed.

He lied next to her.

"Asad, aaj fried fish bhi ban raha hai. U know na if I eat wid everyone I will vomit due to fish's smell," said Zoya.

"I will take care of dat," said Asad.

"How?" asked Zoya.

"I will tell them dat u r busy in ur office work so u will eat late in ur room & I will give u company," replied Asad wid a smile.

"Great excuse," said Zoya wid a smile.

During dinner, all were at d dining table except Asad n Zoya. Asad came there.

"Zoya is busy in some office work. She will eat late in her room & I will eat wid her to give her company," said Asad.

"Okay," said Dilshad.

"U both will eat 2gthr?" asked Razia shockingly.

"Why? Any problem?" asked Asad staring at her.

"No nothing," replied Razia sheepishly, "I was just asking."

"U don't need to ask each n everything. 4m wen u started getn concerned for me n Zoya?" asked Asad wid an amusingly smile.

Razia did not know wat to say so she kept quiet. Asad tuk some food for him n Zoya.

"Why u did not tuk fish for both of u?" asked Najma.

"We r not much hungry," replied Asad n left for his room.

Asad were lying on their bed after eating.

"We need to end all dis 2mrw. We have many proofs n witnesses against them," said Zoya.

"I was thinking d same. We cud not let them around anymore now especially wen u r pregnant now," said Asad.

"Now, all d family members r against them so it will be very easy," said Zoya.

"4m 2mrw, we will not have these problems anymore," said Asad wid a smile.

"True," said Zoya wid a smile.

Next morning, during breakfast Zoya takes lots of pickles n tomato as well as tamarind ketchup for eating shocking everyone.

"Why r u eating so much pickles n ketchup?" asked Razia shockingly.

"Did I ever asked u why u eat paan so much?" asked Zoya wid a smile.

GaZiaRin were shocked while others laughed.

"Control ur appetite in front of all. I will get u later wat all u want to eat," whispered Asad.

"I was concerned for u, beta. If u eat so much of these things then u will get pimples," replied Razia wid a fake smile.

"I will make sure I won't get pimples but u eat so much paan then u will get so many diseases n end up in hospital," said Zoya wid a fake smile.

"Badtameez ladki," muttered Razia annoyingly.

"I heard dat," said Zoya wid a firm smile while Razia smiled sheepishly at her.

Zoya did not had fruit salad as papaya was mixed wid it.

"Why r u not having Fruit salad, Zoya?" asked Dilshad.

"Cuz I don't feel like having it as I am full," lied Zoya.

"Okay," said Dilshad.

After breakfast, everyone was sitting n d hall except Zoya. D police comes in SM..

"Police," said Gaffur shockingly.

"Who called d police?" asked Razia shockingly.

"I called them," replied Asad.

"Why u called d police?" asked Shirin shockingly.

"To get u, ur brother n ur sister-in-law arrested," replied Asad.

"Why we sud be arrested? Wat we have done?" asked Gaffur shockingly.

"3 of u attempted to murder Zoya dat night," replied Asad angrily.

"Wat nonsense r u speaking?" asked Razia shockingly, "Its not us but Asad who tried to murder Zoya since he always hated her. They were even abt to divorce once."

Asad n Najma were angry wid her accusation.

"Don't put d blame on me. There is no problem between me n Zoya," said Asad angrily.

"Oh really? There is no problem between u & Zoya? She wants divorce but u r not ready to give her. U even force her to live wid u in one room against her wishes," said Razia.

"We sud call Zoya n ask her only who is her real enemy," said Shirin.

"Yes, we sud call her," said Razia n called out loudly, "Zoya."

Zoya did not came.

"Zoya," called Razia again.

Zoya came in d hall dis time. All were shocked to see Zoya in her previous look dat is of straight hair widout any red streaks. She was wearing a short-sleeved red shirt tucked inside her blue jeans. She was hiding sumthn behind her back.

"Why u called me, Razia aunty?" asked Zoya.

"Ur family called d police to arrest me, my husband n Shirin. They r blaming me for try to murder u but its Asad who did it. Tell them how there r problems between u & Asad. Asad has only tried to kill u to get rid of u not 3 of us," replied Razia.

Zoya stared at her, then at Asad, then at GaZiaRin 2gthr. She moved her right hand holding some clothes forward n threw it at GaZiaRin. GaZiaRin were shocked to see d same orange spaghetti top n black jeans wid blood stains dat Zoya wore dat horrible night.

"Bhabhi, these r the same clothes Zoya wore dat night wen we tried to kill her," blurted out Shirin shockingly.

"Why did she threw those clothes at us?" asked Razia shockingly.

"I think she got to know everything," replied Gaffur shockingly.

"Wow!" exclaimed Zoya wid a smile, "3 of u were teln dat Asad tried to kill me but u urselves blurted out d truth seeing d clothes I wore dat night."

"Ammi, abbu, phuphi, why u tried to kill Zoya?" asked Humeira shockingly.

"Not only dat Humeira. They even tried a lot to create rifts between me n Asad so dat if we r split then it will be easy for them to trouble everyone. Dat day, they purposely brought out our past abt our bad marriage due to which they managed to split us but soon we got back 2gthr but only I pretended to hate him. They even accused Asad for horrible things for which I will show d proofs," said Zoya n turned on d saved recordings of several times wen Razia n Shirin told Zoya dat Asad wud rape n even tried to kill her.

"You betrayed us?" asked Razia shockingly, "We thought u were against Asad."

"Yes, I was against Asad. I hated him very much but I was sure dat he can never do sumthn horrible like raping n killing someone. Soon, Asad told me everything wen he stopped me 4m going to dat wedding by using an injection one me. And d next afternoon, I got my memory back wen we were out. U both women were very lucky cuz wen u were accusing Asad of raping n trying to kill me teln it directly in front me u both were alright as I did not done anything to both of u. I was controlling myself as I had to act for some time before getn 3 of u in jail where u really belong," replied Zoya in a strong voice.

GaZiaRin were shocked wid her acting. Asad came n stood beside Zoya.

"Wat u all thought dat only u r smart n rest r stupid?" asked Asad in a taunting tone.

Suddenly, Razia laughed in her menacing way.

"Jail jaane k sadme me sathiya gayi kya?" asked Zoya amusingly.

"Zoya, u don't know several things abt ur life. U even don't know dat d killer of ur mother is in dis house only & I have proofs for dat," said Razia wid a broad smile.

"I know everything, Razia. I know dat u r my step-mother, ur husband is my father n ur sister-in-law is my phuphi. I remember everything abt my childhood incident but forgot d faces but due to Asad I remembered everything wen he helped me remember those faces after our honeymoon. So, I know who r the killers of my mother," said Zoya.

"We r not d killers. We have d proofs. We will show it now," said Gaffur.

"Okay, show d proofs if u r not lying," said Asad.

GaZiaRin led d police n others to d storeroom. They started searching for d photos they clicked of Rashid wid Zainab's dead body but were shocked to not find anything.

"D proofs were here only. Rashid has killed Zoya's mother. I & Razia click d photos," blurted out Gaffur shockingly.

"Did u saw officers? 1^st they said dat they have proofs n now say dat they saw my father killing my wife's mother n clicked d photos. They r making stories. Even if they saw him doing d crime why did not they stopped him?" asked Asad in a strong voice.

GaZiaRin were too shocked to respond.

"Officers, they have only killed my mother n tried to kill me. But fortunately, Asad's father saved me 4m dying. My so-called father had trapped my mother for her money along wid Razia who he was dating n Shirin. Wen my mother got to know, they planned to kill us so dat they get a part of our property which is in my name," said Zoya.

"So, Rashid had saved Zoya," said Razia shockingly, "1^st d father saves dis girl n wen we tried to kill her again then d son saves dis girl. 2day, u will not be spared."

She charged 2wards Zoya angrily. She was abt to push to hold her shirt collars but met wid Zoya's hard slap making her nearly fall on d floor.

"Do u really think dat I am standing n waiting here to get killed by u?" asked Zoya angrily.

"Officers, arrest them now," said Ayaan.

"Ayaan, how can u say dis?" asked Shirin shockingly, "I am ur ammi n they r ur mamu n mumaani. U can't support them."

"Oh plz, I know dat not u but Dilshad Ahmed Khan is my ammi. I heard mamu n mumaani's talks one day on how u stole me 4m d hospital to hurt ammi n bhai n replaced it wid a dead baby. U all tried to create split between us brothers many times," said Ayaan angrily.

"We have more proofs dat we got by putting CCTVs in ur rooms while we went to d wedding. We have 4 witnesses who u hired to attack me dat night," said Zoya.

GaZiaRin were shocked by wat Ayaan n Zoya said.

"Nikhat, Nuzhat, Humeira, plz help us," said Shirin lukn at them.

"Why sud we help 3 of u?" asked Nikhat angrily, "U all r criminals. U destroyed bhaijaan n bhabhi's family 20 years ago. U all hurt a lot of people."

"We 3 also got to know abt all ur misdeeds," said Humeira angrily.

"U tried to creat differences between siblings of 2 families but now 3 of u r all alone wid even ur own children against u. U all will have to pay for all ur crimes," said Nuzhat angrily.

D police handcuffed GaZiaRin.

"Zoya beta, plz forgive us for our mistakes. Plz, don't get us in jail. I am ur abbu," Gaffur pretended to beg her.

"Don't call me beta. U r not my abbu," said Zoya wid hatred, "U don't deserve forgiveness. Now wen u r going to jail along wid ur wife n sister u r saying dat u r my abbu. U separated a father 4m 2 children so u don't know wat does a father mean.

Gaffur shuts up knowing dat his acting is of no use.

"Gaffur, u used ur own sister to trap me for disgusting thing n framed me into committing a murder due to which I was guilty for 20 years," said Rashid wid disgust.

"If Zoya had not been alive then Rashid wud have never been proved innocent," said Razia wid hatred trying to reach Zoya even wid her handcuffed hands n broke free.

Wen she reached Zoya, she met wid Zoya's another hard slap on her another cheek making her fall nearly to d ground. D police again caught her dis time more tightly.

"Take them away, officers," said Badi Bi, "These criminals sud be in jail only."

"We can't tolerate u all here anymore as we don't any negative people around our baby," said Asad eyeing Zoya's belly.

Others were shocked as apart 4m AsYa n Humeira, no one knew abt Zoya's pregnancy.

"Baby?" asked Razia shockingly, "Wen all dis happened?"

"We got to know yesterday only but if we told everyone then u cheap people wud have tried to harm Zoya n baby also. Only Zoya, me n Humeira knows it," replied Asad.

Everyone except GaZiaRin smiled at d good news. D officers tuk away GaZiaRin in their police van wid others following them till d hall. After GaZiaRin r taken away, Zoya suddenly feels dizzy n faints. Before she sud fall, Asad catches her by holding both her shoulders.

"Zoya," said Asad shockingly, "Najma, call d doctor."
