Why are Shahid and Ranbir always given more chances

just saying...Shahid and Ranbir barely have box office pull, yet filmmakers are still lining up...and not just any filmmakers, but top fimmakers. Granted they are good actors, but they lack that intangible star quality and mass appeal factors.

On the other hand, Aditya, Sushant, Siddharth, Varun and Ranveer seem to have limited choices(espeically first two). Aditya had Aashiqui 2 and yet barely got any big offers. Sushant and Siddharth are struggling to get good roles as they are newcomers. Varun and Ranveer are doing well now, but if they even deliver one flop, they would be written off.

Shahid has been around for 12 years and has barely any big hits to his credit except Jab We Met and Vivaah. That too, I think Kareena n Amrita stole the show. He was very good in Haidar of course but I think Vishal Bhardwaj can extract good performances from everyone...

Ranbir has had a terrible terrible 2015 and yet he has major offers under his belt.

Shahid has zero pull, no clue as to way people waste crores on him. Classic case of 'aa bail, mujhe maar.'

1. Ranbir's big offers came before his flop phase in 2015.

2. Shahid is far more talented than Aditya/Sushant/Siddharth/Varun so he deserves to get good offers. If Salman Khan can last this long, why not Shahid who is more talented.

3. Varun and Ranveer will NOT be written off after 1 flop.

4. Amrita Rao did NOT steal the show in Vivaah. She was appreciated yes, but equally Shahid too, if not more.

5. Speaking of Kareena, she has the most flops from 2000-2007 but she still got good roles and many chances.

6. It's actors like Abhishek Bachchan that should be questioned for getting so many offers. At least Ranbir and Shahid have the full package with lots of talent.

Agreed about Shahid .. I am surprised that he has lasted 12 years and is still getting opportunities .. he isn't that good an actor and doesn't has any BO pull either.

Ranbir's lack of BO pull has been proven in the last few years but at least he can act (not always very well though). So, him getting opportunities I still understand. Few more years and if he still doesn't delivers any hit then I'll probably start questioning about him getting opportunities.

any day better actor than him at least so why cant they still survive?😆

its all about brand name!

i feel shahid was given most chances...besides haider/kaminay he has nothing as a medal in career of 12+ years!

Ranbir is average at the best actor.. people still expect a barfi; wus; rockstar; raajneeti; YJHD... in just this one year he delivered a flopoor saga..starting from roy upto tamasha (but he was applauded in later) and i see nothing promising on his plate for next year.. a JJ; ADHM and a super-hero..

we could just add sonam too here.. besides her motor mouth i havent find anything worth praising (as a bolly actress)... Arjun is new to th camp may be... 3 out of 6 are flops.. he is yet here..
