I still remember how, a week before that date, I was lying in bed, wandering in my thoughts, listening to a playlist on my phone. One song ended and the next one began. With closed eyes, my mind was beckoned to the Dancing Jodi Soundtrack of the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi as the music filled the ballroom of my mind and the lights slowly ignited to a crowded spectacle in the centre of which a quadrille was performing. The four pairs dancing, the eight masked faces concealing a myriad of emotions and the symbolic exchanges that ensued in rhythm with the song's tempo.
That very moment, my mind leapt into a maze, transforming and gyrating, and a story was formed that I never thought I would, in this life, write.
That quadrille scene would become Chapter 139 of a story promising of nearly 400 chapters!
That week, unable to contain my excitement, I asked my dear friend Aura at college, what she thought of me rewriting IPK's script, placing it in another world, justifying and liberating all the characters and making them mean much more than they already are!
Her encouragement (and of many others who are not around anymore for the story and have moved on, but I still remember them fondly) made me unveil the stage for The Beasts and the Bleeding Roses on 25th March 2012.
Started with just 24 readers and now, accounting for the 201 likes on the Prologue of the FF, I am assuming we have at least that many readers, inclusive of the silent admirers for I know I have MANY of them whom I most dearly love too!
12 Steady Threads, 300 Blockbuster Chapters, an Amazing Company of Comrades and a Brilliant Bunch of Readers any Writer could ever dream of belonging to!!!!
This world that we have here. This Arhasia. How much more magical can she be!!
But may I say, I wouldn't have been able to write this tale, if it not had been the heartrending inspiration afforded by the amazing cast and crew of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (Season One).
So this FF is for them. The Ones Behind IPKKND.
And with this dedication, I take a moment to thank the Heavenly Power that gives Insight to my Soul and manifests, through my Creativity, Words I never thought would find home in my Mind. My love to my amazing parents (whose unawareness of my storywriting keeps me writing it still and) who are the reason I am who I am. To the IPKKND Forum and the Fan Fiction Forum for kindly allowing me to port the ships of Threads at their fabulous harbour.
This story matters a lot to me and to all those who wander this way and find themselves captivated in its magnificence.
I even made precautions, in case something should happen and I am unable to continue the story. I narrated the entire story and revealed its intriguing connections to two people: my sister in blood and to my sister at heart. If ever some fateful turn must curb my visits to Arhasia, the story will not falter and find itself to live on.
But as long as I am the Storyteller, I will visit the Inn that is almost home and, by its warm hearth, narrate to you to the chapters of this life saga (I prefer to call it a "life" story instead of "love").
As long as the Lady in the Dark Hood whispers to me the story that is dear to her, I will bring to you characters you have come to cherish!
The Beasts and the Bleeding Roses. (I know, lame name. But if Fate lets me publish it, I will DEFINITELY be changing it!).
I may not have many readers but that only proves more how Destiny has a hand in bringing them to Arhasia. Only some will find the path before them. And some will not be given the Courage to Walk it when they find it, but if they are destined for this story, they will find it again.
So to all my Readers: Thank you for making TBTBR possible. This is, indeed, OUR story. OUR Arhasia. Whether you are still reading it or read it once a long time ago and no longer do, it won't make a difference. Because if you visit Arhasia, you can't shrug her off. Arhasia is made to belong. To you. To me. In our Hearts. Forever.
So what are you waiting for? If you find yourself at the Door of the Inn, enter at will.
And I will be there, waiting. Embracing everyone who visits our beloved Inn in Arhasia...
