Sushant Singh Rajput opts out of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is barely out of his Bajirao Mastani' (2015) mode but he was already planning his next which would be a film based on the life of poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. He had apparently roped in Sushant Singh Rajput in a lead role but the actor seems to have excused himself from the project.

According to 9xe, Chopra was roped in to play Amrita Pritam with Irrfan Khan to play Ludhianvi. Singh Rajput was meant to play Imroze, Amrita Pritam's lover, but it seems he's decided to opt out of the film. The reason for his rumoured exit is not known.

Singh Rajput is going to be seen next as MS Dhoni in a biopic and also in Dinesh Vijan's next opposite Kriti Sanon.
