Ishra SS|| The Blessing of Bliss || Prologue ~ Chapter 19B

His head was snuggled into the nape of her neck as he hugged her bare body in his deep slumber while sleep was a distance thought in her mind. She ran her fingers through his messy hair softly bringing a serene look on his face while lines ceased her forehead as she was lost in her trail of thoughts.

Ishita Raman Bhalla, a 33 year old woman, with everything anyone could ever want. A husband who loved her more than anyone else, a man who pampered her, spoiled her, cried with her, and laughed with her. That's all she had ever wished for thinking she wouldn't ever need anything else in her life. And that's what it had been like for the past 7 years she had been with him.

He wasn't the perfect man like everyone else, but he was perfect for her like nobody else. His understanding and trust covered his moments of anger, his care for her made up for his lack of expressing the same, and his love for her overpowered every other flaw he thought he had in him. And so looking beyond his looks and shortcomings, she had fallen in love with the personality of the 34 year old Raman Bhalla.

But today as they had celebrated 5^th wedding anniversary with a dinner date in a 5 star hotel which he had been saving up for a while, she felt like she wasn't able to do even a fraction of what he did for her. Even with his low salary and a joint family to take care of, he never let her feel like she was missing something in her life or there was a lack of any luxury, but she couldn't do the same for him.

She hadn't been able to give him what he had always wanted, instead because of her he kept his wish hidden inside him afraid of hurting her. She hadn't give him the one thing he loved probably as much as her. Though he acted like it didn't matter, like he wasn't affected, the truth always remained that he was.

A tear escaped her eye and fell onto his sleeping form as she couldn't get the bitter truth out of her mind...

The fact that even after 3 years of trying, she hadn't been able to give him their child...
