Himesh Reshammiya has found a way out to solve his problems regarding his Karz remake.
With Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om being spoken about as being a homage to the original Karz, its remake makers were in a fix how to go ahead with the project and there were talks that their film might even get scrapped.
"Himesh won't be essaying a double role in the film as he was all set to do earlier. This is because he wants to avoid similarities with the SRK starrer releasing this Diwali. The re-incarnation theme film shall have the first character that of Raj Kiran being played by a newcomer while Himesh will go on to play Rishi Kapoor's role. This change has been the musician-singer turned actor's own suggestion to its makers. This and a few other changes might bring out specific differences between OSO and the Karz remake and the audience wont get a deja vu feeling when they see the Himesh film," reveals a source.
Bollywood films barring Subhash Ghai's Karz rarely had a re-incarnation themed film with two separate actors playing the same re-incarnated character but according to the source, Himesh is keen to have it that way.
The Karz remake will now be starting on its earlier planned schedule in January 2008. Himesh also has another film in his kitty, the Pooja Bhatt venture to be shot both in Europe and Pakistan. The nasal twang singer is also set to go for his live shows abroad before that.
