Before Six years ...

Maan listen to me carefully...said Dev the eldest son of Khuranas who was at present on death bed.

Dev married Naina daughter of an underworld DON. Khurana's were against their wish hence both eloped from India. After 8 years of their marriage Dev and his wife Naina with their youngest child had a major accident. Naina died on the spot and Dev was in critical condition. It was a miracle that Nia their 2 month old daughter who was there with them survived. Both families were informed immediately but only Maan turned up in the hospital.

Maan tell Dadi I loved her but I couldn't leave Naina. She had you and Vicky with her but Naina she has only me and Geet. How could I leave them??? Plz ask... ask her to forgive me...

Geet stood at the back leaning to the wall. Geet was confused how to react. after all she too was losing her only family. Her jiju , di and kids were her family. Dev looked at her. He asked with his eyes to come in front. Geet stood near Dev. Baccha you are a brave girl dont cry dear... I know I don't have to worry about my kids. You will be there for them even if I don't ask you... but still...will you take care of my kids???

Geet couldn't stop her tears...Jiju they are my kids too...I will be there for them... I promise you I will do all that you and di would have done for them. I will give them all my love.

Dev was having breathing problem. Maan called doctors...Doctors tried their best but Dev died leaving Nia(2month), Dia(7yrs) and Neil(3yrs) with Maan and Geet.

After funeral of Dev and Naina, Maan tried to legally adopt children but the country where they lived only a relative who lived with them for at least 1 year could adopt them.( some countries have this rule). So legally only Geet could adopt children. As Maan couldn't leave kids with Geet who according to Maan is a Don's daughter hence not at all trustworthy. Geet had her own insecurities. She promised to be with kids but she cant fight with Maan lagally or physically ever. Though Maan is brother of Dev she couldn't leave kids with a stranger also. But she knew she can never provide kids facilities that Khuranas can provide them. At present she didn't even have a job. Even for their basic needs she didn't have money. It was an idea that popped up in their lawyers' head to make Maan and Geet married. Maan's plan was to adopt kids after marriage and find a solution for Geet after reaching India. Geet wanted to be secured financially before divorcing Maan and taking kids custody.
