Hello Hammie. Missed you my friend ..I really wanted to read your take on this one . Better late than never. So I'd say . a big thank you .

As expected your take has added another layer to an already multi facetted story telling. A gem of an episode not only for its progression in the story, characters and acting but in nuances that were obvious and subtle.

As you say from time in memorial the role of a man has been that of a protector and a women to be the nurturer . Viplav & Dhaani often find themselves in these respective roles. Recent events have formed a gradual but an unquestionable bond between the two . Walls of distrust have fallen and a deep sense of comfort seems to have set in. In this new found faith both sit together to eat , argue and laugh oblivious to the world outside . The heartening sight of Dhaani mothering Viplav while he sat back to take in the beauty that lay in front of him. Both living in the moment happy and content.

The entire accident somewhere has shaken Viplav to the core. His sub conscious mind dwells on the danger lurking in the name of Tripurari. Of loosing Dhaani and of him being helpless to do anything. He awakens from this dream to not find Dhaani around and he assumes the worst . What if something happens to her ? Sheer panic at the thought ( so well enacted by Mishal ) runs helter-skelter in search calling her name. Not far away Dhaani responds not understanding the urgency of the call. There on time stood still , the relief, the need , the disbelief to see her standing in front of him Viplav puts his arms around her to assure himself that she is real and is near him . Holding on to her tight as dear life itself asking the rhetorical question - What if something happened to you ???

No amount of assurances can calm him down as if in the brief minutes of her absence he went to hell and back . Unwilling to let her out of his sight he holds on to her arm pleading in silence for her to stay . His child like need written in his eyes Dhaani attempts to pacify him that she is not going far just to arrange a meal for him. Viplav exposed and vulnerable nodding - No I don't need anything just don't go ... the realization of love , not wanting to part with her for a second . Just so very beautiful and raw. For me this was my most favorite scene whereby Mishals/Viplavs eyes said a thousand words.

Slightly recovered from his panic Viplav finds Sarla kaki and Dhaani in conversation regarding their fake relationship . "Its so nice to see you both in love and such a faithful husband " Dhaani is a bit skirmish but for Viplav this is not fake anymore. He has fallen in love - what else could this feeling be ? . He watches her from afar soaking in this color of love - anyone who gets colored in love does not care about any color ..Ishq ka rang safed ...He opening declares to himself - Viplav Tripathi you are in love with Dhaani while the birds chirp in the background as if playing a love song .

All the scenes of this episode are worthy of discussion but I choose to talk only the ones with Viplav and Dhaani. Kanak , DT , Trip their stories will have to wait for another day. I rewatched the episode a couple of times and each time I found a beauty in these well written scenes. Not enough can be said about Mishal coz for me he carried this episode. From the first frame till the last when he gets off the phone with dadaji it was his show. Kudos to him and the rest of the team who have bought the love back into the love story .

Thanks Hammie for providing me a place to share my thoughts. Till later.

Hope you are doing good. Great and detailed review.

Friday's episode was well executed. The tattooed Kaki is a bit over the top and her repeated comments on Vip-Dhani's "love" appears quite unreal. People in India tend to be somewhat repressed in all matters romantic, and therefore for a stranger, she was being rather over-familiar. Me thinks Tattoo Kaaki is enjoying ViDha vicariously, and perhaps missing and reminiscing days gone by with her Tattoo Kaaka.

As awida pointed out, the "love realization" was very well done. It was seamlessly inserted in the plot, and Mishal being a natural actor dons the role of the moonstruck, love-lorn youth like a cloak.

Fire is under the feet of Trip both from DT and Sue. I am happy that Sue finally awoke and threatened to turn Trip in, hubby or no hubby, to the boys in blue. Trip is facing 2 contradictory pressures and deadlines: One from DT to cough up Vip and snuff out Dhani, and an another from Sue to produce Dhani alive and kicking back to Benaras.

At the heels of love-realization in serials comes the big S or the big MU -- the separation and/or misunderstandings. It would be sad if IKRS went the ghisa-pita way of Indian serials to use this kind of gimmickry to boost trps. Instead, one hopes that they deal with the future plot with the same sensitivity and freshness that they have shown thus far.

It is hard to say anything yet about the new entry yet. She may be "positive" until her undoubtedly spoiled grandbaby arriving from videsh or wherever falls flat for Vip and has grand plans of marrying only him, as someone has predicted in the forum. If this were to happen, then the Maalkin may also add herself to the growing list of people who wish to see a Dhani-less world.

Trip is planning to arrive in person in Ghazibad, or wherever our love-birds have holed up. With Vip extending their stay there, a confrontation/kidnapping are not to be ruled out.

Turned out to be a rather irreverent response, but it is what it is. Take care and best wishes.

Hey .

Tattoo Kaki bothered me too . Not only her characterization but also how the hell did she get all those tattoes in all those places.

She does seem a bit too friendly talking about how they love each other and insisting on wearing a mangalsutra and sindoor. I can empathically say that such a real life character does not exist coz we are not a society of women who talk about such things openly . She is meant to the enabler in the story and there for a short period so it is fine.

the future tracks also worry me as I am not very high on drama when it comes to twists and turns that make no sense. The writers have corrected themselves before when the story was running amuck I am hoping they have planned the future well .
