They say that a conflict makes its place within a character when he is faced by two choices - Rizwaan is a little different in this scenario. He doesnt has two choices, infact he has two personas to shift in between. We have seen Rizwaan managing the shifts very well and with all the crticism he had to face from his partners he always confessed that haan main ishaan nahi hn! Haan main ishaan nahi hn! Even in his monologues he always confessed that he is not ishaan.
However, fate does put him in situations where he gives up the i am not ishaan chant and agrees that somewhere in this role playing, the persona is embedding on his soul. Ishaan/ Rizwaan present a theatrical technique of a play within a play. We have a fictional representation in front of us and in that fictional representation, we have another person playing a part.
Rizwaan's role playing as Ishaan makes him helpless at that time. He started a game, but at the end he himself has reduced to nothing more than a toy in hands of his own pretend. I will qoute anshuman rathore here

Last time he confessed the blurring distinction when he had to save kuku's life, and today again he faced the hazy boundries after he was torn apart between two concerns. Two concerns which were with entirely different purposes.
That wounded body was in a confusion as of how to heal its wound .. his wounded body wanted his heart and mind to answer and tell which persona will be adopted? Yet again he sinks in his own role play and confesses
Ishaan aur rizwaan k beech ka farq pehchanne ki koshish kar raha hn ..
I believe the struggle of identifyng this difference will carry on till end and maybe will never be solved because the role playing is becoming a part of his exsistence. Asmita yesterday pointed out a very important refrence that Ishaan not only gives a break to rizwaan from his hectic routine. I totally agree with her, and not only ishaan's persona has given him preet and kavya, but ishaan's persona has given him protection, against that haunting feeling of a child who saw his parents dying.
We keep on discussing how will rizwaan live without kavya and preet, but my question is .. how will rizwaan live without being ishaan?
