Anushka Sharma 7 years in Bollywood: what has she achieved?

Anushka Sharma had a great debut with SRK in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. But somehow she fell short of her potential. Sure she had a few memorable roles in Band Baaja Baaraat & Jab Tak Hai Jaan, but her subsequent roles in PK and Bombay Velvet left a lot to be desired for. Did she achieve a lot in Bollywood? Please share your thoughts. 😲

Not really .. but I like the fact that she produced NH10

It's been 7 years?!?! I swear she debut like three years ago...the fact that it feels that way is probably an indication of how little she has achieved then I guess, sadly. I had high expectations from her.

The problem is when you look at her contemporaries or the ones who're around her age, you feel she's lagged behind. DPad started a year before Anu, and she's now the #1 female actor in Bollywood.

After years of struggle, Kangana is #2 right now.

Anu is too talented. She made some wrong choices, but she's more versatile than D-Pad. I really don't understand why she's always in the fringes when we talk about leading female stars.

Pre-cosmetic surgery, she was charming and beautiful. She looks good even today and did a great movie like NH10 earlier. Yet, still there's no hype surrounding. The hype seems to pass off to D-Pad, Kangana, even Sonam Kapoor - who's barely done anything.

I think those cosmetic surgeries affected her negatively. Who's the other female star who's openly done cosmetic surgeries? Katrina? But that was when she was already going down the hill. D-Pad, Sonam, Kareena? I don't think they've done anything to their faces yet.

considering she's an outsider she has done pretty well..having worked wid rajkumar Hirani, zoya akhtar n anurag kashyap widout any approach is an achievement in itself..working wid a khan wid a decent length of role n producing nh10, one of d best female oriented movie to b made in bollywood in dis genre vouch for her success...d fact dat she hasn't been written off in d industry where survival is so difficult speaks volume of whether she has achieved something or not...she hasn't reached d level of deepika yet bt hayy deepika even deepika tuk her tym to b dere at d top

DP had a famous dad, though not from the industry so she had easy last name recognition. We knew her dad as a famous badminton player of his time, so her last name had a familiarity.

lots of money,fame,good list of films,respect from film critics ,lead actress in Kjo,hirani,anurag so on.. movies all these without any star dad/mother or family..

Plenty. She has nailed Shruti Kakkar like a bonafide actor that she is. On top of that she had the opportunity to work with many acclaimed directors and conceived her own production house using which she produced and acted in a critically and commercially acclaimed NH10 at the start of the year. 👍🏼 ...Show's still not over so I hope she can churn out more films like NH10 (or in general female oriented flicks, they don't necessarily have to be gritty or dark).
