Right! So would someone who knows that she's the favorite wife and treat her elder sautans as inferior be insecure? Why? She was Dasharath's favorite, and arguably even Rama's. So why would she have any insecurities?

I'm not getting this serial's distortions. I thought that they want to magnify the relationship b/w Rama & Sita, and approach this story more from that angle. I get that. But how is changing the characterization of the story, or facts of the story (like the one about Sudhanva) contributing to that end?

However, this show is taking it to a whole new extreme (like with almost every other character) by showing her downright jealous and bitter.

The new promo is totally wrong on all accounts! While Kaikeyi may have been jealous of Kaushalya and Sumitra, she loved Ram like her own son and NOTHING came in the way of their relationship until Manthara poisoned her mind. Kaikeyi never once thought to make Bharat King, like the promo is showing. It's so odd and totally out of place to show this political stuff even before Ram-Sita's marriage. It looks so out of place and weird.

When Kaikeyi was first told of Ram's coronation by Manthara, she was immensely happy and gifted Manthara with a diamond necklace. That's how much she loved Ram. It took a lot of brainwashing for Manthara to feed on Kaikeyi's insecurity and change her opinion about Ram.

Now they're going to have Kaikeyi hate Ram even before his marriage. Way to go CVs, you have just butchered yet another character. 👏🤬
