The weekly retrospective is back after a gap. Sorry for the last week folks. π
This week was surely an eventful one , with all the heart breaks, arguments, tension brewing between the protagonists along with not so thrilling cat & mouse chase game led by Shergill the agent to nab the terror suspects. None of his scenes did make any sense thanks to those pathetic dialogues, plus it took the story nowhere. A point to be noted by the writers. He needs to be there to take the story to its climax. Do take care of it and get rid of some unnecessary scenes to make us all go mad with utmost disgust. The story did show its beaming glow when it focused on Rizwan and Preet and for that the entire team, specially the writers and two actors deserve all the applause. Week after week, You deliver like you never did before and make us awestruck. A big THANK YOU FOR THAT. π³ππ
Now its like a rule to break the rule and mention multiple scenes as the Scenes of the week. I guess that's because I just fail to choose one as few scenes left me speechless with its sheer brilliance. This week is also no exception, so here sharing my favourite scenes which will get framed in my memory album. π³β€οΈ
~SCENE 1~ The argument
Aaj Bina thappad maare hi tumne mera bharosa tod diya. πππ
One of the most powerful scene in the entire series. The woman whose all hope and faith gets broken by the man whom she trusts blindly -so brilliantly portrayed that it shook me. Preet's unshed tears accused Rizwan for slapping her hard while he was asking repeatedly for an apology for that single slap. The ideal beta , ideal Bhai took over so strongly that the loving husband ignored these tears though always claiming it hurts him deeply when she cries. Was her husband feeling the same pain which she had in her eyes for letting her down? I guess he was surely not in much comfort either as he asked for forgiveness without uttering the words- Maaf kar dena Preet. Is it really very difficult to strike a balance while performing duties as a husband and as a son or a big brother? I guess the answer is yet to be found. The best part- Preet refused to bend , and I love her for that determination. Bravo Girl. The scne belonged to the actor- Mona Singh. You owned it like a queen. Big round of applause for that. πππππππππππππ
~SCENE 2~ The Helplessness of Ambivalence
Sab kuch khatam ho raha hai. π₯Ίπ₯Ίππππ
Another poignant yet meaningful scene. The conflict of Rizwan and Ishan performing his duties was superbly written and enacted. Rizwan wanted to save his team mates to safeguard his ultimate mission for which he waited for so many years on one side and Ishan wanted to protect his loved ones, close to his heart at any cost sensing danger. He felt helpless because neither he just could have allowed danger engulf any of his associates nor he could have got unmasked infornt of his beloved. Both would have resulted in a dangerous mess leading him to a blind end, a point of no return. So only words he could say fearing his fate- everything is nearing to its end. His duality which is part of his existence was on the verge of getting exposed , he was unable to find the escape route. If I have to sum it up in few lines would just add I wonder if these words were there in Rizwan Ahmed Khan's mind-
Jazbaat kya hain maula
Haalat kya hain maula
Ke shaatir iske, Saare vaar hain
Har saanse khwahish sile
Saazish hai kuch hain gile
Ke mushkilaatein
Beshumaar hain πβ€οΈ
The scene belonged to one and only Iqbal Khan. His body languge to his facial expressions made this breath taking. But the delivery of that dialogue was so haunting that It pulled the strings of heart as it tuned itself for a melancholic song. π Take a bow actor. βοΈπππ
~SCENE 3~The silent scream of pain

(Do not want to offend anyone, but still apologies in advance as using it without taking the permission of the maker directly)
Entire episode of Thursday with all its scenes featuring Rizwan and Preet were spectacular to say the least. As one frame fades to usher another- we all got dumbstruck by the portrayal of par excellence . Lot has ben said about this episode, so will not add much. Words would fail to actually describe its real essence of all the scenes. It needs to be seen and felt. The pain which failed to scream out loud and the genuine care and affection which sensed the uncanny yet silent presence of it by two people whom Rizwan loves and adores - Preet and Kavya. The dialogue which echoed throughout the episode- Tum Thik toh ho na? β€οΈππ
I wish Rizwan gathered all his strength once forgetting all his reality and say that he was not okay and he needs to be taken care of with immense love to sooth his excruciating pain. I wish!π₯Ί
The episode left will remain etched in my memory for depicting Pain with such flair. No praise is enough for the man who made that possible. βοΈβοΈβοΈπππ
~Special Mention~
A scene which surely needs a special mention is the argument scene which took place in the bedroom. Dialogue which will haunt us and the story -
Agar kal mujhe pata chale ke tum woh Ishan hi nahi ho toh main toh mar jaungi. ππ
That single dialogue showed Rizwan the horrific reflection of him in seconds which he never wants to see but aware of. it always.Betrayal and trust were placed in the same frame by the clever jusxtaposition of Aatif calling Rizwan and Preet saying- Yehi toh hai hamra rishta, bharosa jo hum ek dusre pe karte hai. To hide his uneasiness he only uttered- Kuch nahi hota hai yeh bharosa. He will have to pay heavy price for this betrayal but the irony in this is- No one knows it better than himself only. what did feel exactly? Fear of getting caught or fear of losing the woman who means world to him? The revelation will be devastating for both, lets wait to see who gets perished sooner? The man who betrayed or the woman who trusted?A significant scene laying foundation for future storytelling. Loved the acting of both the actors. They have gulped the characters in such a manner that at times its does not even look like they are in front of camera.
There is no prizes for guessing that once again the crown of performers of the week goes to two lead actors for their acting prowess which keep us hooked to this show- Iqbal Khan and Mona Singh. Take a bow. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈππππππππ
Having said that will also add, that I will be bit biased this time and choose one as THE ONE for that Thursday's episode. I don't know how did he do it , but whatever was shown onscreen made me disturbed and haunted me for hours. So for that Iqbal Khan gets my ultimate vote. He left me in awe as well at unease to fathom what was actually happening to a fictional character. πππππ

Now its your turn folks to share your favourite frames, which left you speechless. Do pour your heart out and relive the magical moments.
P.S-all the caps are given by Asmita @ Rollingstones. Thank you dear for those. Really appreciate your effort.
P.P.S- I have to mention the biggest disappointments of the week too. Its two people who eat our brains and make us feel like why am I watching this. No brownies for guessing, they are Jay Shergill and Naina for whom Hoodas changed their colors so conveniently. One has turned into a cartoon by the most unrealistic depiction of an intelligence agent and the other by still being present in the show. Don't know when we will get spared. Sigh! π
