I guess he was giving Ishita a chance to say something as he seems to know something related to Shagun .

Why is he blaming himself , is it in his hands to give a life ? I don't understand this guilt , this was known to him all along that It's not quite possible for her to be pregnant ... I don't agree with this guilt , no ones fault if a person can not conceive , it's the way the nature decided , and if you are a believer then it's God's will , some parents can not have their own children and some children don't have any parents ... And this where the nurturing comes ... They can have children if they wish ... May be not their own flesh and blood but non the less a human being who they can love and nurture as their own ... YHM had a chance to fully promote this thought , but they decided to go the surrogacy way ... A lot of people in our society still prefer their OWN ghar ka Chirag ... and star plus didn't put the Nai Soach here.

I think the reason of showing these guilt is to send message that ishita is not wrong in torturing Raman, bhalla and iyers by hiding truth that apshagun is alive.

Same as raman thought during surrogacy. When ishita was crying holding baby's cloth he was thinking he made the right decision to go for surrogacy.my pov
