Do TV channels buy their movies at these prices?

Forget about opening, can the producers of Ranbir's/HR's films can sell a Ranbir/HR starrer at these prices? Kauwa chala hans ki chaal.

Ranbir raking it in!

A recent IT raid on the offices of Kwan, the agency that manages Ranbir Kapoor revealed that the actor was paid a whopping amount for his recently released film. Says a source, "The film (Tamasha) hasn't done the kind of business expected but it must not pinch the leading man too much. He was paid '38 crores for the part." Just to put things in perspective. Hrithik Roshan, who has been in the industry for a decade and more than Ranbir, got '50 crores for Bang Bang.

OMG .. really? not again? I thought it was only a BV thing .. didn't know that for Tamasha as well he got paid so much. F**k man .. 38 crores is like a very very very very huge huge huge huge amount. How can someone pay it to someone like Ranbir who can't even pull enough audiences to the theater. His past 4 films have been flops .. how does he even deserves this much money.

But have to say .. BW is one hell of a place to make money .. I mean you invest around 50 crores on a film while it is being made in a year or two .. and then you can reap in profits worth 20-30 crores easily if a film does well. How many industries can promise 20-30 crores of money in just a couple of years with no real hardware setup or even a real business concept (i.e. an original script) required. These people just make too much money .. they should instead reduce the ticket prices and make a little less money. That way public can also enjoy the entertainment without paying so much.

Wow this is shocking that the producers payed so much to him. Had he charged less movie would not have even flopped.

Can someone tell me how much deepika was paid for this? The gap in hers and ranbir's pay must have been staggering even though ranbir had 3 back to back flops going into tamasha.

This movie could have been a hit if this loser boy didnt charge this unreasonable amount of money 38 cr is too much for him. Shameless he demanding it he cant bring even half of this amount on his name.

I wish all these contemporary actresses would take a stand and demand equal pay in regards with young gen actors like ranbir etc.

This is ridiculous. So an actress can give hits but a guy who gave 3 flops, one of which is an all time disaster still gets 38 cr and she will get paid mere 5-6 cr 🤢

Well didn't he sign this film fresh off of YJHD & before Besharam came out? But still 38 crores is ridiculous, they could have made the whole movie in that budget.
