I loved the entire treatment of rizwaan and Preet fight yesterday - right from the execution, to dialgue writing to subtle body language to performances. Preet was dragged in a conventional situatiom where a female is punished for not having a majority opinion, byt the best part was she didnt behave in a conventional manner. A conventional manner would have been if she would have apologized standing right there due to rizwaan's pressure and voiced out her opinions, but she didnt do that. She not only didnt apologize but also made every bidy recall what she had done by supporting bilal and naina and why on earth would she do it on purpose. I LOVED these dialogues, where she reminds the stupid Hoooda family of what she had done. I loved mona in the entire sequence and her voicce modulations while crying are just superb.
Next was rizwaan, he had trusted Preet two nights ago and asked for mobile phones in a gathering, but like he apologized to everybody after being proved wrong, he wanted the same for Preet. I am in love with the realistic perspective with which rizwaan was presented. He kept on sayinh that its okay to be biased, you are a human beinh its okay to have a weakness, just apologize and let it go. Also how his own last nights act pushed him harder bcz he himself was mistaken in a similar situation. He wanted to take charge and help her through her weakness. The scenes in the bedroom were the cherry on cake. He comes inside with his concern of crying and then again insists on asking forgiveness. His forceful wrist pull was again flawlessly incoporated where he asks her not to go thru all that just for his sake while she blatantly says that she will not apologize from heart. Thirr frank, too the point and natural conversation was just brilliant. For me Mona was winning the race performance wise but as soon as the call from atof interuppted, Iqbal stole everything. His jittery hand movements, his desperate tries to keep the compusre yet trying to handle everything with the blink of an eye. Rizwaan's handling of the words trust throws at him was superbly protrayed. The scene ended on the final call from Rizwaan who called it quits, who said that finr i am stepping ba k but there is going to be no respect from nowonwards. He was right he had persuaded her enough, pleaded her enough while instead of getting angry at Rizwaan, Preet tried to understand that why did he bring in respect. It was a wonderful scene! Wonderful!
Yes kinza the treatment and the writing in these scenes makes it worth watching. I do agree with you thst aman gets sandwiched between a role of aadarsh beta vs aadarsh pati. That got reflected in the scenes too. The aadarsh beta failed to see the hurt in those unshed tears as he wanted to control the situation, he wanted everyone to look at preet with the same respect and affection even if that means giving up her self respect. He valued family way above , but in thae room as soon as he enters and sees preet crying, he is yet again that cating, loving, sensitive aadarsh pati who cant see tears in her eyes. Yesterday's every scene was beautifully placed. Applause to the team. ⭐️
Secondly I whole heartedly agree with you that Mona was cynosure till she says chalo neeche chalte hai, sab se maafi maangte hai point. From there the scdne got taken over by the male lead, from that hand grabbing part , saying those angst filled words as his partner is failing to get his point till the end where he wanted he seals the conversation saying I will not force you as he did not get into his duscomfort zone which was getting reflected in preet's words. The expression on IQBAL 'S face when preet says agar tum woh ishan ho hi nahi toh main toh mar jaungi na was pitch perfect. From there its Rizwan who eats up the screen. As we always say takkar ke actors. Yeh scene tumhare naam, woh scene mera. 😆
