Saku my dear...I will have to read all the chapters again I think...I am so very glad that Sanskaar is Swara's phoenix...but I still can't figure how Kavita fits in. You mean Annapurna and Lakshya eliminated Kavita misunderstanding that she was the one Sanskaar was interested in?
And when and where did Sanskaar and Swara meet before? Swara mentions something about seeing his correspondence from his case file on her mom's desk...😊
I think a repeat reading is called for. You have out sheldoned Sheldon this time, with the twists. I need to catch the thread again...

Viji darling, I think I can help you here.😊 I guess finale would answer all your questions too, but since I'm going to post it shortly there's no harm in giving some tips away.Sanskar and Swara never met. You remember in the conversation with phoenix Swara recalled. I didn't write "said" for any line, I simply said it was the reply or she asked, things like that. The reason was that the conversation was a written one, not a verbal one. They corresponded through e mails and chatting, typed words, she never saw him or heard him.In this relationship, Sanskar's ID was phoenix so she never knew who he truly was, initially it might have been an ID he established to talk with shermishta, later Swara found that contact info. Swara here, pretended to be Kavita, her older sister who was almost of Sansakar's age.The Maheshwaris found out all about this online relationship, but not how it started. Since Swara was using Kavi's account they thought it was Kavi, Sanskar was under the same impression. The prologue was the first time they were supposed to meet. To clear the misunderstanding Swara went with Kavita, but realized someone was already there trying to harm them. Kavi, protecting her sister, went forward, they recognized her, she deliberately let the misunderstanding remain and died.Swara escaped, on the train they were supposed to elope together.Does that make anymore sense now?I really hate confusing you like this, I'm truly sorry if I was a cause of migraine😕

Hi! Got to run, too busy today. But enjoy the finale!😃
Sometimes when you come so close to your destination that you can see nothing but your goal you do not wish to stumble upon cross roads or to sacrifice one goal in attempt of saving another. But for Annapurna, the parting of ways was here. Inhaling deeply she looked back at her son, whom she was thinking of using as a soldier in her own battle had turned in to a commander of another battle of his own.
Think wisely Ma,' Lakshya said tilting his head. We both know Swara's mother is a psychotherapist, we know Swara is in contact with both her and Sanskar. It would only take so much time for her to heal him with her mother's advice. We don't have much time.'
She can't be a part of my family,' Annapurna said firmly.
Well that is a matter of priorities. I mean who is more dangerous to you, a man who has the potential of owning everything you're desperately holding on to or a girl who can do nothing against you and more over is married to your son? Because at the moment you can eliminate only one of them.'
Annapurna exhaled deeply this time. Her plan did not tally with Lakshya's. She had been planning to eliminate both of them. Once they killed Sanskar, it was not possible for Swara to prove what they had done. Sanskar was already a dead man for the world; it would only end up proving Swara has completely lost her mind.'
I will help you either way,' Lakshya continued after a moment. But if you kill her, you'd lose your son as well. I can't live without her.'
Her eyes widened a little. No, none of her goals were more important than Lakshya. As she made a choice Lakshya stood up.
So Ma, do we have a deal?'
She nodded slightly.
You have left me no choice.'

It was almost midnight and the Maheshwari mansion was engulfed in a deep slumber. A pale moon hung overhead, watching them with mild interest as two shadows, emerged from the darkness.
You don't feel suffocated do you?' Swara asked anxiously.
Sanskar shook his head.
Not when you're here.' He added with a grin. So what are we going to do today?'
Hmm, another short walk and a long talk?' Swara suggested.
Sounds fun,' said Sanskar looking around.
Yes it is, rather than typing on a screen and waiting for the other to respond. You can ask me anything you want.'
That's interesting,' said Sanskar with a glint in his otherwise empty eyes. Will you tell me why you pretended to be Kavita?'
Swara stopped on her tracks for a moment, twirling her fingers and gazing fixedly at them. There're many reasons for that.'
I think we have time to hear some,' said Sanskar encouragingly.
For one, Di had an account and I did not. For second it felt so secure when you were not you.'
Why?'
Swara struggled with words, looking around uncomfortably.
She was beautiful, older, everything I wanted to be.'
Sanskar said nothing for a moment.
But those words, ideas weren't hers right? They were you, it was you I loved all along,' he added then in a softer tone.
It needs a lot of confidence to reveal your true self to someone,' she continued after a slight pause.
I know,' Sanskar said lightly. Perhaps better than you.'
Her fingers laced with his, grasping them in a warm hold.
But that's behind us now, it's over. You'll be fine soon.'
Doesn't matter,' Sanskar said in a warmer tone. We're together, that's more than enough.'
Swara said nothing as she gazed at the moon, transfixed.
Swara?'
Shh,' she said in a soft whisper. This silence is too beautiful, let it soak your heart, engulf you for a moment.'
Why?'
Because it's neither my silence nor yours for the first time in my life it's our silence.'

The warmth of that memory drained away in to the coldness of the tears that washed her eyes. Through blurred eyes she gazed at the image she made in her mirror, not wanting to see what her eyes captured but with no other escape.
Her dark eyes were framed with kohl to perfection; her face glowing in the soft aura of her bridal, only the expression remained pained, empty and broken. The door reflected behind her in the mirror opened and Ragini entered.
Swara,' she said hesitantly.
Don't,' Swara said softly. Don't waste your time telling me I don't have to do this Ragini, they'll kill him. I can't let that happen.'
Ragini rushed to her, taking her cold hands in her warm ones, looked in to her tearful gaze.
We will find him,' she said in a soothing tone.
We can't,' said Swara shaking her head slightly. We won't. Who knows where they've taken him. I really hate that woman, she's too evil for her own good.'
That she is,' Ragini said after a moment. But there is a way to break her, break her enough to compel her in to releasing Sanskar.'
How?'
You know what her weakness is right?'
Swara nodded almost absentmindedly.
Lakshya,' she said with a sigh.
*
He was sitting in the mandap, waiting for him bride. Watching the flames that would witness their union Lakshya sighed. This was not how he wanted it to be. He wanted her love. But at the moment it was out of reach, permanently.
She came surrounded by giggling girls and veiled, taking her place beside him in almost a fatal silence. He glanced at her, from a corner of his eye, trying to catch a glimpse of her expression. But no, she was completely invisible to him.
They stood up for the pheras completed them and exchanged their positions. He was supposed to grace her with Sindoor and finish their marriage. Someone lifted her veil to aid him as he took a pinch of the red powder that would mark her, his forever. Then the world, stopped and time froze.
Looking in to his stunned face, Ragini smiled.
Lakshya, shaking with shock and pale with betrayal stood up, still ogling at her. Slowly Ragini followed him.
Where is she?'
Ragini did not reply as she smiled once more.
Where is Swara?'
She went to her rightful place.'
Lakshya grabbed her shoulders seething in anger.
What did you do?'
What?' Ragini raised an eyebrow. Did you think I'd kill her or something, like you were planning to do with Sanskar? No, Lakshya, I'm far better than that. She's gone to her love. You will never see her again.'
Lakshya shook his head and looked at Annapurna.
That's not possible,' he said in a firm tone. She doesn't know where he is.'
Well, I told you the truth, believing or not, is your choice. But you know where she might be, if you're intelligent enough.'
Lakshya ran a hand through his hair and left the Mandap, with Ragini gazing unemotionally after him and Annapurna trotting after him.
Lakshya!' She called. Wait, I think this is a trap.'
I don't care Ma, I have to check.'
That's what they want, Lakshya wait!'
*
Sanskar laughed, watching Lakshya's face contorted in anger, his narrowed eyes and clenched jaw made him chuckle.
So she escaped?' He asked in an amused tone. Told you, she's not your type Lucky.'
Shut up,' said Lakshya, in a furious tone.
So Ma was right, this is a plan. She never came here huh?'
Of cause I am here Lakshya,' Swara said, emerging from darkness behind him. The difference is that you brought me here.'
Annapurna watched hidden in shadows as the scene unfolded before her. Swara had indeed being playing them, the help of her new friend Ragini. She had already released Sanskar and was saying something which Annapurna did not hear. Lakshya looked beside himself in anger. Then to fuel his frustration further she slapped him.
I trusted you, I thought you were my best friend. I had told you everything,' said Swara, her palm still stinging with the force of that slap. I told you how my sister died, I told you how I couldn't prove a thing to anyone. I told you about phoenix and instead of helping me you used it to separate us? How could you be so evil Lakshya? How could you?'
I loved you okay? I wanted you to love me back, how is that evil?'
You know I never loved you Lakshya.'
Yes, but you promised to move on. You said you can do that!'
You made me think I've lost my love! What else would I have done? And after knowing all this still you tried to trap me? Do you seriously think after all this I would still love you? This isn't love Lakshya, this is obsession!'
It was a part of what Annapurna heard before Lakshya pushed Swara off.
He is the reason of all this, I'm going to kill him,' he said in the enraged voice of his.
Before Swara had stood up once more, they were entangled in a hand to hand combat. Each taking the years of pent up anger against the other and leaving bruises with every punch. Annapurna thought she would meddle and stop, but Swara did not move even an inch, she stood there watching the fight unfold until Sanskar had strangled Lakshya.
No!' Annapurna yelled as Lakshya slid down lifelessly to the ground. She could remain hidden no longer. Her heart wrenching in pain, she rushed to her son, not noticing Swara and Sanskar who stood watching, her moves with shocked expressions.
Lakshya? Lakshya?' He made no response, his head moved lifelessly from side to side as she shook him. With her eyes ablaze with hatred Annapurna turned to Sanskar.
What have you done? I will not spare you for this! You have killed my son!'
Swara held Sanskar's arm with a shaking cold hand.
I don't think you can do it Mrs. Maheshwari. Sanskar is already dead according to you, so how can a dead man kill another?'
Annapurna stood up, her hands in fists and her lisps pressed together.
It is just another murder, like the ones you've covered up over the years. We will cover this up as well.'
No you won't!' Hissed Annapurna. I won't be going to the authorities. No, you're right they are easily manipulated. I would end you two right here, right now!'
Like you killed my parents?' Sanskar interjected. And tried to make me forget it?'
Yes, exactly! No one found their bodies till now did they? They all think the car was out of control and went down a precipice! Only you and I know there was no one inside the car, they were dead a long before that.'
And my sister?' Swara nodded. Isn't that the same thing you did with my sister Kavi? Vanished her body even though I witnessed her being murdered I couldn't prove anything!'
Yes, you two know an awful lot, I can't let you survive, I simply can't!'
Sanskar took Swara's hand in his and gazed in to Annapurna's blazing eyes. For the first time she looked less a python and more a snake who was provoked in to hissing.
You have to,' he said then, slightly nodding at someone over her shoulder. It was Ragini and with her came the police.
You planed this?' Annapurna asked in a low voice. Swara nodded.
We did,' she affirmed as Annapurna was handcuffed.
I don't care,' Annapurna said after a moment, looking at Ragini. You have already got the punishment for this betrayal Ragini. They killed your love.'
No they didn't,' said Ragini in a shaking voice.
We gave him a seductive. Lakshya's not dead Mrs. Maheshwari.' Swara explained shortly. But I don't think even he will be able to save you this time. You game finishes here. The battle is done.'
Annapurna said no more as she was lead away by the police. Ragini took a large intake of breath and knelt beside Lakshya.
Will he be alright?' She asked then.
Yes,' said Swara. Thank you Ragini.'
It's alright,' she said as she stood up. Someone told me I have to prove myself to be his friend, I think I have done that today right Sanskar?'
Sanskar took her hands in his squeezing them warmly for a moment.
You were the best friend I've ever had, in both darkness and light.'
Let's forget about darkness now, it's the light we have to remember.'
It is light,' Swara agreed and hand in hand they left the dark prison in to the now falling dawn, talking and laughing in low voices.
It was not the end, but the road to that destination was found, friendships tied and hearts exchanged. The strongest of storms and the darkest of nights passed. Whatever is to come cannot be worse than that and they felt with the aid of each other, the destinations would soon be found and happiness cherished for a life time to come.
