IKRS Tuesday 8th December 2015 ep 104 My Take
Viplav's words of assurance ,that he would soon return with Dhani begin to now spread concern amongst the widows at the Ashram. Inderani who is ordinarily quite level headed impatiently announces for some reason both are still missing, his phone is non-reachable. They speculate what could be delaying them? Rajlaxmi comes up with a sensible solution to report the matter to the police .At that moment in time Suvarna barges into the Ashram ,she caught the tail end of Rajlaxmi's suggestion of police involvement. Here we see a panic ridden wife who full well knows about the dark deeds of her husband! now fears of him being implicated in this missing persons crime.. she, knows this is her maternal home and as such she had no issues of her pleas being rejected. In fact Suvarna expects the widows would adhere to her wishes. But then Inderani reminds her how Tripurari had treated her , how he was also ready to abandon her and marry Dhani. Inderani feels Suvarna needed to be made aware of their predicament too. However, Dulari in this situation, shows empathy and assures Suvarna ,they can wait a bit longer for Dhani's return. Rajlaxmi makes adjustments to her suggestion and explains they can still go ahead but will rule Tripurari as a suspect..Dulari still seeks Suvarna's permission to file the complain. Dulari explains , in no way would she want to put hers and Tripurari's marriage on the line... she pleads all she wants is her Dhani back! To me this is an interesting scene as it brings out the positive group dynamics , whereby these widows discuss, share, adjust, and then reach a consensus on a very delicate issue. It goes back to the many briefs that Viplav gave the widows ,when they find themselves in a quandary , join heads and stand united to sort matters! the other poignant point is the power of the vermillion which now Suvarna wears in her parting, for her the safety of her husband. For his protection she perhaps throws a blanket of naivety over his gross seedy activities and begs her maternal family to do so too, i.e she wants the right of being a daughter in the name of being a wife! was Suvarna bring manipulate or simply doing her duty as a wife?
Now with Dashrant! he is so full of guile that one never knows if he fake's it or is being original? On his returns home he riddles both Kanak and Shambu with questions regards Viplav's disappearance. Exerts responsibility that he has summoned Viplav's friends about his whereabouts? they too are baffled , but vow to look for Viplav. But Dashrant does wonders where can his Viplav be? I despair in him, it never occurs to him his pota might be scouting about after Dhani? maybe Viplav has clocked on Dhani has vanished?
Dashrant 's Viplav is in the care and protection of a puny widow! would Dashrant ever be grateful to Dhani when he finds out the young widow turned out to be his Viplav's redeemer?Dhani wheels him on the cart this is no easy path, it's the rough woodland path strewn with hard soil pokey with sharp edged stone and birchwood! Yet this girl fights her failing tired body and wheels Viplav's heavy loose frame on the wooden cart . but her flesh weakens, and she pauses for a breather .But her duty of care, continues, as feels his brow to see he's fine. Hope arrives! in the form of a van that drives up , she calls out for a lift, begs the driver to help the injured vikal babu! give them a lift to the hospital.. But the guy is reluctant ,suggests the hospital is nearby, and she asserts, how can she take him on her own! surely saving a life is more important. But the man says he has a long way to go and drives off! as Dhani in desperation tries to stop the van from speeding off! she sits despondently on the path and wonders how can people behave like this? This setback , shows her the reality of life, it's humbug and fast pace can even stop humans from giving a helping hand! it's against her nature..she leads the austere life of a widow ,but service to humanity is part of her dharm. But before to pieces the deities provide her a doze of spiritual energy she needs to function.Suddenly she stops by the roadside carved plague of lord Hanuman! she sinks down to her knees and prays for strength so she can take vikil babu to the hospital .. she gives the passed out Viplav on the wooden cart a sided look and begs in supplication, dont let anything happen to him! give me strength! and she picks up the offertory near the carved plaque, with devotion, she blesses it, and eats the offertory. Dhani spots the earthen water pot with a metal glass, may be a drink might revive him? so she takes it across, lifts his wounded head up gently, and presses the rim of the glass to moisten his bottom lip... then returns to push the wheels of the cart.. and carries on the tedious task of seeking help for Viplav! each hardship Dhani faces ,makes her obdurately resilient in aim of restoring vikil babu to his usual self! what is there to worry about for Dhani , the lord Ram himself..has given her a hint on this journey ,that she will meet her lord Hanuman...
Dhani continues to wheel Viplav onwards. Till she finally spots the hospital through the clearing.. she hears a vehicle as she turns to look sideways, it's the red van.. but somehow the van swerves and as if by some miracle bypasses them. She watches the van stops by the hospital ,she wonders, are they tripurari's men? then they get out and go into the hospital it's confirmed they are! she looks down at Viplav, and swiftly turns the wheel barrow and heads to take cover in the shrubbery..
Shambu runs to tell his father, under convalescence, that the police have recovered Viplav's car from the jungle! A gutted Dashrant gets up! confused, what was Viplav doing there? how did he get there? hope he's not stuck in some disaster? Now he is plagued by questions!
With sheer perseverance Dhani brings Viplav safely, to a built up area which is easier to wheel compared to the rough uneven rock chipped path of the jungle.. she glides the carried carefully and stops by a house where in the compound a woman watered her shrubberies .. boldly , Dhani parks the cart before the house ,runs to the woman .. kaki that vikal babu! .. I am in a lot of trouble !please help me! the woman looks at viplav lying on the cart and says, if your husband is so ill! then why have you brought him here? take him to a hospital!.. the woman , refers to vikil babu as her husband, let it be lie to save his life.. Dhani muses if she tells her the truth she might refuse to help her?.. the old woman ,has she have no money, Dhani lies, and says no..she please help me! but the woman says my mistress is not at home ,so I can't help you, I can't leave the house alone.. I just work here! so can't keep you here!.. for Viplav's sake , Dhani falls to her feet, kaki I am touching your feet ! please save his life! help me kaki in gods name! the old woman says ,ok that's enough! I'll put you up in my room! go now and bring your husband there.. overcome Dhani gives the old lady a grateful hug.. has Dhani found her lord Hanuman Dhani wheels the cart to the side.. Viplav now lies on the bed ..past him is lord Kirshna's statue and Dhani prays to lord Krishna.. She carries on with this challenging journey, with the assistance of her spiritual deities , who give her divine strength to battle difficulties! The lady comes in with a fresh set of clothes for viplav says it's her mistress sons, and for Dhani, her mistress's granddaughter. Dhani takes them gratefully.. the old lady, says, I have phoned the doctor he is on his way..now change him it's very cold..
Often the gods put us in a similar situation, where we grossly misjudge the intentions of a well-wisher, the folly of our ways, is thus illustrated before us, so we can correct our selves and give the person what's rightfully due to him or her. Dhani says thanks ..quick change his clothes she commands Dhani.. Dhani, holds the white clothes, and she stares at Viplav, his head cradled on a pillow.. Dhani looks at the clothes nervously.. erhh, she would have to change? looks at his white clothes clutched in her hand .. she is a bag of nerves , she'd rather start at his feet and pulls of his shoes... looks at him and gulps nervously.. stands over him and tries bravely.. thinks about where she should start? her fists clenched with embarrassment. Gingerly she holds the front open ends of his shirt... and then straightens up ... taken aback.. reluctant to touch him ,tears of helpless come into her eyes.. she has to muster up the strength..he'll catch his death! he sleeps.. he wouldn't know or feel a thing..oooh god!! but she can see.. what she doing.. Dhani sighs... then sits on the bed beside him looks down at his closed eyes and wipes her tears... and muses, is this how you felt vikal babu? when you had to change my drenched white sari ,when you saved me from the blessed river? were your hands awkward, hesitant? was your throat parched with shyness? were you embarrassed ? did your heart race? did you hate changing me? did you want it to be over and done with quickly? vikal babu..now my heart knows..how hard it was for you to undress me. I am sure now, you too must have looked away, my heart tells me so..oohhh vikal babu.. and I called you a Rakhsas! who defiled me on the sacred floor of the temple. I have called you so many things.. and you were never any of those.. now whatever it takes I will save your life! she takes a deep breath.. and once again she peels one side of his shirt off his shoulder.. nervously she stands and pulls his other sleeve off his arm..
Tripurari throws dust in his gurudev's eyes as per usual, Dashrant asks Tripurari.. where is Viplav ? he replies how would I know? and Dashrant says you really don't know or are you trying to hide things from me?tripurari replies ,would I even dare to do that? Dashrant says no one knows where my child is Tripurari? put all your men to work ! at this job! orders Dashrant .. like a lying toad Tripurari asks ,has babba got lost some where?oook will get to looking for him,you just don't worry, he deceives dashrant. Who threatens him do the job start asap.. Tripurari chuckles .. oh babaa died ages ago! if he's not dead yet! then soon he will be, what can I do about it?
Well in the old servant lady's home..the doctor comes and says I've put a fresh bandage around his head. The rest is beyond me.. he has a deep injury.. and has lost a lot of blood.. he has a high temperature as well..still I'll prescribe medication. If his temperature doesn't come down then he'll have to be moved to a bigger hospital! His temperature has to come down otherwise his life at risk.. Dhani is devastated, as she moves towards him, looks down with tears in her eyes.. the old lad says look child all will be well.. but to make him well is Dhani's whole purpose of life. she is known to be a determined woman ,once her heart is set on something ,not even an infection in his blood ,that causes the fever can stop her! god will provide a way out..
The nurse with the qualification of love!...Dhani puts cold compresses on his head to bring down his temperature. tenderly , feels his stubble chin with the top of her hand.. feels his pulse ..what's written in this? she tries to make sense of the prescription? asks the old lady, to read it ? tells her his temperature hasn't come down.. the old woman says she can't read either.. I am illiterate! But then the old woman educates Dhani's with the appearance of a married woman! tells Dhani off ..what kind of a married woman are you? no sindoor! no mangulsutra around the neck? your husband has suffered what was meant for him.. but is this how a married woman should be like you do ?ok just wait a bit, says the old lady..returns and gives it to Dhani.. here take this mangulsutra.. Dhani muses, if to save his life! I have to wear this mangalsutura then I shall wear it ..as long as my prayer is answered .. at all costs I have to save his life..the woman says it's not gold but gold plated... what difference does it make if it's gold or not it's the significance is what matters to a married woman.. here put it on! Dhani looks at Viplav and takes it from the old lady who drops it in Dhani's palm.. the old lady further empowers Dhani's hesitancy, do you know Savitri with her purity and dedication raised her husband from the dead.. and you don't understand it's power.. mangal ,means auspicious , well.. and sutra means, a thread that protects the husband's life.. there is no other thing more precious for a married woman than amangulsutra ..so go on put it on now.. she then tells Dhani not far from here there is the goddess's temple, who so goes there with a sincere heart.. worships there , their prayers are answered.. Dhani looks at him, thinks.. looks at him ,then at the mangal sutra in her palm, she says no matter what, I have to do, I'll do it, but won't let anything to happen to vikal babu.. So Dhani the widow, dons a gold plated mangalsutra, and applies it to a real situation in her life.. her belief is what matters, she has faith that the goddess will look beyond her appearance.. she will cast her benign eyes at her contrite tears , at the intent of this poor widows heart.. the supplication to grant the life of her vikal babu..
The episode belongs to Dhani, her resilience, her belief in her deities.. that lead her and her vikal babu out of perils and provide him safety..Eisha has now brought Dhani to life.. Hamlet53 9.12.15

Precap: Suvarna asks if you know any thing related to Viplav babaa and Dhani.. and trips replies I didn't do any thing to them.. only sent a few of my men to teach that Dhani a lesson..suvarna looks shocked,. Dhani stands at the entrance of the mandir she muses to save vikal babu's life she is willing to do anything.. she climbs the steps of the temple on her knees to get to the altar.. her soles bleed.. vipllav lies still at home and Dhani stumbles before the altar of the goddess...
