2016 will finally be the one odd year where there may not be a single BW release of hers

Ever since her debut we have seen her in at least 1 release every year..this year however seems different and she may end up not having a single release

She is going to HW and her project looks massive

which makes me think..not signing anything BW related may probably be due to that..but is it a good step?

is it wise to invest so much in a foreign industry and prioritize it over BW..

i say this coz BW is cut throat competitive as well especially when you are at the top..a lot are in line to take you over..not having a release at all may not matter for the khans or roshan..but for actresses unfortunately..you need that consistency especially when at top

i hope she balances it like PC coz otherwise she will go Aish way..all PR and zero consistency..one movie here and there..

There is nothing left for Deepika in Bollywood.

In fact,there is nothing left for any stars in Bollywood.

It is stagnating.

Well.. am trying to understand why DP chose xXx..

Dates would be the first reason.Then she wants instant fame and recognition.Vin Diesel and the franchise ensures a big release world wide..She may land some endorsements ,which will give her even more exposure.

Action is also a genre,where international actors from different ethnicity can play roles.Chinese actors have done well.Besides Deepika will do well in action films.She is tall,athletic and has a chiseled face.

It is better to look up and ahead..rather than stagnate,for fear of failing..

People will snigger,predict ruin..but she is 30..For Bollywood ,it is the end ..In Hollywood it is the beginning for many stars.

It is good to explore.. if it works out for you then good, there will be many offers in BW too. else it is not working out then can marry and settle down.. But anyways, she will surely have offers in hand in BW... if she takes a break for 6-8 months also she wont be unemployed :-)

Aish's disadvantage - PP was a superhit, however her PP2 underperformed.

DP's advantage - Even if xXx 3 does decent business, it would make more money than the second one coz VD is back.

So xXx is a safe bet.

@blue- god that's such a wrong statement! How do you get to decide that there is nothing left in this industry for stars? Just because Deepika doesn't explore her versatility with varied roles makes the industry a stagnant place? 😆

The industry is progressing at such a good rate- it's been such a good year for content driven cinema & people say this!!

We have made such flawless movies in the last few years! People are taking risks, pushing boundaries, exploring different characters & the industry is becoming better! How are we any less than HW? I
This industry gave her a chance to improve, if it was stagnant she would've remained the bad actress she was!!

This one will flop/under-perform as well.

Diesel is not a star despite what his fans seem to think. And the quality of his movies is crap most of the time as well. The Last Witch Hunter recently crashed at the BO and with Diesel coming of a huge BB in Fast 7.

He is yet to move out of the F&F franchise and it doesn't seem like he ever will.

I think it will give her a much needed break from doing emotionally intense roles, while giving her a boost to her financial value as a star. Not a bad move.
