Mouni was born in the year 1985 in West Bengal. Mouni's Grandfather was a well-known theatre actor and that's probably where she got her acting skills from!

Mouni made her television debut with the popular show 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Mouni played the role of Krishna Tulsi(KT) in this show. This is when people recognised her talent and she started gaining popularity.

Mouni was also seen in the show 'Kasturi', where she played the role of Shivani Sabbaarwal. Mouni looked really pretty on the show and had a decent screen time as well.

Mouni is best known for her role of Sati in the show 'Devon Ke Dev. Mahadev.' In fact her character in this show was so powerful that the show was earlier going to be named Sati being based on her!

Mouni also played the role of Meera on the show 'Junoon- Aisi Nafrat, toh Kaisa Ishq'. Her character on this show was very tough as her character was shown both sweet and naughty at the same time.

Mouni also participated in various reality shows such as 'Dance Pe Chance' and 'Pati patni Aur Woh'. The pretty looking actress also won audiences' hearts with her fab dancing skills on reality dance shows like 'Just Dance' and 'Zara Nach ke Dikha'. She also participated in the 7thseason of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.

Mouni is currently seen on the popular show Naagin where she plays the lead role. Mouni plays the role of Shivanya, who turned out to be a Naagin in a recent shocker!
