She's not right and she shouldn't have said this.

You don't ever point fingers at the audience. They owe you nothing. Cinema is a subjective medium and if people just want to be amazed by the screen, it's their choice. Don't be judgmental.

Unlike people associated with films, many only want to be entertained. They mayn't want creative stimulation from movies. And, even for such movies, there is an audience.

Btw, Anu is a celebrity, not a star.

But when did anu became a star????

She's right... literally anybody can become a star in B'wood if given the right backing. We have some really low standards... if we see a good performance or a good film.. we all go crazy about it because it's so rare to see. The new generation needs to raise standards to a whole new level.
