The Journey of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani completes a successful run of 100 episodes . Its been a tempestuous ride all thanks to the twists n turns in every episode . The story of Gayatri , a girl having manglik dosh who by a pre-conditional deal of sorts mutually benefiting , decided between her father & Rajmata , marries the King of Ameerkot , Rana Indravadan Singh Deo , a widower & having no desire to live the life without his first wife .
What unfolds is an interesting saga of love amidst all the conspiracies in the Raj Mahal . With an ensemble cast with the likes of Drashti Dhami , Surekha Sikri , Darshan Zariwala , Anita Raj , Siddhant Karnick & Moon Banerjee , it succeeded in showing us a Magnum Opus on small screen living upto the grandeur in every sense . Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is the story of the Royal Family of Ameerkot, which is headed by Rajmata and Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo (Siddhant Karnick). To cope with the loss of fortune faced, he marries Gayatri Seth (Drashti Dhami), the daughter of the state's biggest moneylender, Gopal Seth. This not only causes a scandal, but sets off a chain of drama events within the family and the royal servants, impacting them to change forever. Gayatri a 21 year old daughter of the state's wealthiest money-lender, who unlike girls of her generation, learnt to read and write from her brother's old textbooks. Rajmata Priyamvada is currently responsible for managing the affairs of Amerkot along with Chandravadhan as her son and current title holder of Ranaji is away.She is quite modern in her way of living and loves to shop like a crazy. Given to addiction, she drinks a little too much. She is a 55 year old mother of Ranaji Indravadan Singh. Her young teenage son became the king and she has to watch over her shoulder at all times to protect his interests. Rajmata is modern in her way of living. She loves the finer things of life and is a shopaholic.
