Thanks for the pics. It seems these were taken during his bearded Jalal phase or soon after. No reason for him to want to continue the sadhu look now.

Interestingly, Akbar was never bearded at any stage in his life.

Yeah...they seem old only. And hopefully that is so.

Only if the makers had known that. We would have been saved of the torture. That beard was soo irritating at times...😡🤢

i think he just had a moustache if not mistaken! btw the whole idea of showing him old or middle aged did not go well with many, they should have just ended like the movie or started season 2 of mughal e azam with fresh faces!
