Has Delhi run out of schools?

This school business is pretty stupid. Why does it have to be Gurudwara school or Ria's school? Can't both of them find something in between and get the kids admitted to a good but less expensive private school?

Suri is right that the kid won't get as many opportunities in the Gurudwara school. Only academics aren't everything, they need other activities to open up. That's really gonna help. But at the same time, 20k per month? My engineering costs half of that. Even Suri needs to understand that Kulwinder can't afford to pay so much for +2 education. She is chanting that school's name as if that's the only private school in Delhi. Can't both see the sense in each other's arguments and and find a middle ground by choosing a good but affordable private school?

But I guess then Kulwinder won't get chances to throw his slippers and pull his sleeves and Suri won't get chance to pout. 😆

@bold I agree. At the same time I think Jassi isn't going to horse ride or dance or do anything at this stage, do you think? Her interests is in academics and academics related I feel. More like speeches, elocutions, Science projects type. I think she should concentrate more on that...And as you said, an easy way out would be a school in between both extremes. That would be good too. It's not like Jassi can perform only in International school. This definitely would have given Kulwinder the idea that Suri wants to have a lifestyle like Nikki's.

Better schools have more academics related prospects too. Seminars, workshops and chances to get in touch with great people in the field. And she has never tried anything else other than academics. Who knows, if she gets a chance to try she may like it.

Yes, if he could easily afford it then sure they could have sent her there but since it's so expensive I don't know what's the obsession with her school only.

I understand but I still feel it would be a huge struggle for Jassi to be dropped into a school like Ria's suddenly. It would be too much for her to handle and there are huge possibilities of backfiring. Jassi has to change...but it has to be gradual. There are high risks of her losing out on studies also in the process of gaining confidence.

I understand the problem in suddenly mingling with the "high class" for the lack of a better term. But she has passed out 10th and is new in the city. Now the time is ripe. One day she has to do it, and given her nature she will always be scared to take the first step, no matter how much time she is given. So why not start now? And nowadays where you do +2 can greatly affect which college you get. Even if not Ria's school, she needs a better one than the Gurudwara school.

But does she understand the need? She doesn't want to change. Her attitude had to change first. She should want to break the shackles even if she doesn't know how. Now, Jassi is happy in her small world and when she is pushed into the tough world, she would want to bounce back because she is not ready in her mind.

Then she needs a push if she is too scared to take the step. And getting admitted in such a school will precisely be that push.
