Censor Board pulls up Aamir after 20 years; asks him to remove "Hindustani" from "Raja Hindustani"
" November 24, 2015In a shocking turn of events, the censor board has sent a notice to Aamir Khan, asking him to change the title of his movie Raja Hindustani to only Raja after nearly 2 decades since its release. This comes in the wake of Aamir Khan's recent statement that his wife Kiran Rao suggested they should move out of India due to rising intolerance in the country.
Pahlaj Nihalani, already in the news for all the wrong reasons, when asked why after 20 years would he demand such a thing, said "Mitrooon ! mera Bollywood se purana rishta hai...is liye purani filmein change kar raha hoon" . Clearly still in the hangover of his song for the PM Modi, our THB reporter felt unsafe asking him any further questions.
Aamir has taken this in his stride and in fact, being the perfectionist that he is, Aamir has taken a step further and has planned to edit the name and posters of other movies too. THB was able to get some images exclusively for its viewers.
Let alone his own posters, he is planning to launch a movie for his wife who made the remark of leaving India. The movie will be named Kiran Rao Mastani and will show Ms. Rao leaving India on a horse in a medieval set-up considering her medieval thinking on such matters.
When contacted, unlike Nihalani, Aamir was available for more sensible comments, only relatively. When asked what does he have to say to Nihalani on his notice Aamir remarked "Achha, mujhe movie ka name change karna hai ? Doston aapne dekha mujhe movie ka name change karna hai" and that is where our journalist decided not to disturb Aamir on the sets of Satyamev Jayate, ever.
