Well we all know Gayatri has not died. She cannot die as she is the show's lead. But from a story point you know why I am telling she has not died.
The moments that ran through Gayatri's mind when she was underwater. Every moment that came across her was with her loved one. Every moment she felt the warmth of his love. Every moment she as a woman was reveling in his love. And the woman who is holding this vision cannot die. Because that vision is the power with which she is holding on to life.
BRM is thinking of an illusional throne. Whereas Gayatri is reliving the real moments. The moments that happened.
And between illusion and reality finally reality will win. Gayatri's love for her husband and her need to live with him weighs far more than any other power on earth. She will not allow anyone or anything to come between them.
