Whats going on

Hey.. So I haven't been watching QH since the whole shaad jannat aahil stuff happened so Im really not sure whats going on and where KV is.. Can someone please summarize whats happened since then and why is Sanam now called Mahira?!

Murtaza (shaad's look alike) tricked Aahil and Sanam by taking them to a hilltop where he ended up pushing both Sanam and Aahil off the cliff. Aahil died but Sanam survived and she even got her memory back and took revenge off shashi kapoor, saif, razia and murtaza. She promised nayi Sanam that someone else is gonna come to take revenge off her as Sanam wasn't able to kill nayi Sanam. Sanand name is now Mahira because she was reborn and has come to take revenge. The show took a 25 year leap first showing the love story of Azaad and Mahira and now Armaan and Mahira.
