Abdul does most of the ground work. Decoration, painting, delivery, labour, etc etc etc. I think makers sometimes forget that he owns a shop and is not a servant of the society.

I guess...He is given different works in the society to just keep him in the scene...😊, if he is just limited to his shop, then his screen space will be much shorter. it will be just when the gents go to have soda at this shop.

he...like bhide works honorary for the society ..😆, all goody good people stay in gokuldham only...😆

But society ppl love abdul...that's for sure..he is given surprises all the time...Renovate his shop, call his parents and relatives by plane on eid..😆

The property where his shop has been built belongs to the society. He is therefore obliged to help them. That's pretty much okay given society is helping him a lot financially. Also, all the ladies get things from his shop only so his financial condition is secured because of the society.
What irks me is the personal job he does for all the people. Also, Bagha does the same job. Why can't Bagha take a day off for his GF ? How exactly is he suppose to inform his Ssethji about it ? He is a paid servant not a slave. If he has CLs then he can have it provided the employer can let him have it.

Then unprofessionalism is the tagline of TMKOC. You look either way, TMKOC teaches you unethical things and promotes superstitions in the name of entertainment.

He is obliged to work for the society but does the society pay him for his work? They buy things from his shop and pay him. They even pay for the sodas that they drink. But other than that,I have never seen them paying for any other work that he does like decorating the society, etc.

My parents apartment's watchman asks money for even a small work that they tell him to do.Abdul is not the watchman but he does work more than even a watchman can do.He's like a care taker of the society. And care takers never do anything for free.

They have never shown abdul asking for money nor the GD wasis giving him money.

What happens where never applies on Gokuldham society. That's the golden rule of the show. This applies for various other things. For example : No where people jump into dancing to celebrate or nowhere elders interfere in the marital life of a couple

Having said that, if it has never been shown that the society pays him for the services then we haven't seen him paying rent to the society for using a shop within the limits of the society. I guess that balances everything.
