So we all know Aamir never does galti se mistake. Even his divorce and second marriage news was timed to promote his movies. He supported a cause to publicize his movie before. But Dangal is more than a year away. What is Aamir's motive in restarting the intolerance debate after it died a natural death after the Bihar elections? I was thinking he did SMJ for a RS nomination. Will Congress or someone give him a nomination?

Not everything has a motive. The world isn't as calculative as it's made out to be. Sometimes people just say stuff without giving it a second thought and when you're Aamir Khan, it becomes a national issue.
He should be able to saying what he wants without people mocking and accusing him. A lot of people leave india for one reason or other so whats so wrong with what he said.

Agree 100%

Aamir khan is given way too much importance and then people start analyzing why he is given so much importance when they are the one who gave him too much importance in the first place.

Am not sure why he was invited to speak at a Journalism Awards at the first place. Though ppl think he is intelligent he is far from it and he made a faux pas. He was asked about delinking religion with terrorism and he gave some diplomatic crap answer to which Tavleen Singh asked him again on his view about Wahhabism and he evaded the question with the same "Terrorists aren't true Muslims" answer which got 4 claps from the audience.
