I love the album! A traditional Indian classic album after so long, such beautiful songs!

My faves:

Aayat! Omg my fave song of the year! So beautifully sung by arijit, so so romantic!

Ab tohe jaane na doongi, such a emotional song, it's like a song bout separation,

Deewani mastani, One if my faves since I saw the video, I just love the unique composition, and the use of marathi lyrics :)

Pinga, so much fun :)

Albela sajan - incredible beats, such a lively song

Mohe rang do laal, love it! I can already imagine Deepika doing katak to it, and sung beautifully by Shreya :)

Malhari is another fun warrior song :)

It's a traditional album, no modern techno stuff, so it may take time to grow on people, but the mor u listen to it the better it gets :)

As soulful the songs I'm very disappointed in the album

I expected the songs to have the traditional old Marathi feel! These songs are to Mughal period type/ Qawalli type/modern which has been done so many times in movies like JA, Umrao Jaan!

Just putting the Marathi lyrics in the start is just not enough!! It's a movie depicting Maratha era, it should have songs which define Marathi music! Lezim music could've been used!!

Some songs are too modernish also!! The slow souled cliched ones which are too in trend! Too many Kathak songs too!!

Malhari I was expecting so much but it is so ganpati dance type-ish!!

Pinga & Deewani Mastani are the only ones which gave me feels from that era!! The Marathi lyrics from the start of Deewani Mastani was what I was expecting!! Ji re Baji alone makes me so happy!!

Maybe the videos will change my mind! Who knows?

Loving all the songs already.

Such soothing songs after a long time.

SLB has done a great job with music and also the singers chosen are perfect.

Waiting for the video of all these songs especially mohe rang do laal

Just listened through once in full.

I'm actually going to risk sounding ridiculous, but I think this could be the best album of 2015.

1. DEEWANI MASTANI - love it, great vocals, one of the best of the year

2. AAYAT - a heart-touching song about unrequited love by Arijit Singh

3. MALHARI - energetic, uptempo, frantic, festive, by Vishal Dadlani

4. MOHE RANG DE LAAL - Shreya at her best, the music is wonderful, very old school

5. ALBELA SAAJAN - of course reminds of song from HDDCS

6. AB TOHE JANE NA DOONGI - PC's song about being jealous <333

7. PINGA - disappointing at first, but I've grown to quite like it, it's fun

8. AAJ IBAADAT - another song for the lovers with broken hearts

9. FITOORI - love the unique production and non-linear song structure, great vocals once again from Vaishali Made

10. GANJANANA - the only song I don't really like, it's a bit too hectic for me

Overall, the soundtrack is nothing short of STUNNING. It has the old world charm, sounds as magical as Devdas music, the vocal production on all songs is great. Full of emotion and passion. The horns (on most tracks) really bring it together as a whole. The best SLB soundtrack since the HDDCS/Devdas glory days.

Mastani wasn't marathi, so the songs picturesed on her will hav mor qawali lyrics than marathi.

And I am sure the videos will enhance and justify the songs :) Deewani mastani and pinga hav amazing videos that really took the songs to another level

The album seems very traditional to me, and yes it will grow on people, it's not the instant chartbuster pop stuff like we get with other movies, so the songs take time to listen to and appreciate , also not every song will be in the film
