Scene 1
We see a maid entering an apartment complex, looking nervous. She knocks at room no. 901, calling out for garbage. A girl opens the door and under pretext of giving out garbage, hands her a large object wrapped in black polythene, and tells her to get it to the right place. The maid delivers it to room 802 where a guy sneaks it inside, and then she knocks at another door where a short-tempered lady Shobha answers the call. The maid says she's newly appointed there. The two get into an argument that quickly escalates and attracts the attention of a neighbour Rachana, who says Shobha has been creating nuisance by picking fights with everyone. Shobha's husband Manish comes out and apologizes, tells her to go inside and gives out the garbage.
Scene 2
Shobha is seen storming at Manish and mother-in-law over some petty issues. Her daughter Kavya gets irritated and Shobha gets angry at her on seeing a pic of her supposed boyfriend. We're told that Shobha had made her son leave the house. Manish asks Kavya to leave for college and Shobha angrily decides not to open the door when her mother-in-law returns from temple. When the latter returns and finds Shobha not answering the door, she calls the neighbours who contact Manish. Manish tries to open the door with a duplicate key, but it's locked from within.
Scene 3
We see Shobha lying dead in a pool of blood in the living room. Our CID team comprising of ACP sir, Sachin sir, Shreya, Nikhil and Vansh examines the body and notices that she suffered from a deep head wound, and wonder if it's an accident resulting from falling on any sharp edge. Nikhil finds the broken pieces of a vase with blood on them. ACP sir construes that the killer may have hit Shobha on the head with this vase, and she died in the living room trying to escape. They wonder how the killer escaped, since the door was locked from inside and they couldn't escape from the balcony, from such a height. Shreya suggests they check CCTV footage from the doorway and lobby.
Scene 4
The team meets Shobha's family and says she was evidently murdered after 10:30 AM, when they all left the place. Shreya demands why Kavya returned from college at 11:00, as seen in the CCTV footage. Kavya says she returned to meet her boyfriend in secret. ACP sir sees Shobha's son Riteish there, who had been kicked out of the house by her. He addresses her disrespectfully and ACP sir reproaches him. He claims to have come back to meet one Kishore, who claims he was out taking his dog on a walk then. ACP sir finds it suspicious how all these people were moving around, but nobody observed what was going on in Shobha's house. The society folks speak lowly of Shobha for her short-tempered nature, and ACP sir suspects the killer to be among them.
Scene 5
In the forensic lab, we see Dr. Salunkhe and Dr. Tarika trying to re-enact the murder scene. ACP sir, Daya sir, Freddy sir and Purvi di arrive and Salunkhe sir tells them that the vase isn't the murder weapon, because Shobha's skull has been hideously fractured in a way that couldn't be done with that vase. ACP sir says they found no other heavy object at the crime spot. Salunkhe sir decides to go there and search for it himself.
Scene 6
Salunkhe sir and the team searches the crime scene for the aforementioned hypothetical object, and the former finds some powdered masala in the kitchen. ACP sir construes there must've been a heavy pestle for grinding the spices there as well. He orders the team to search for it in nearby houses and asks Shreya to get Manish's mother. They find the heavy mortar and pestle in Rachana's house and Manish's mother recognizes it as theirs, as it has Shobha's name engraved at the bottom. Rachana claims she nicked it after the murder out of greed. Salunkhe sir finds no traces of blood upon it, and decides to re-examine Shobha's body.
Scene 7
Salunkhe sir and Dr. Tarika re-examine the corpse and find bits of gravel in the wound, and conclude that the murder weapon was a flower pot. The team is informed of this, and Shreya points out they didn't find any flower pot in Shobha's flat. They search and find the marks of the flower pot having been smashed right below Shobha's apartment outside. ACP sir construes someone cleaned up the remains so as to remove all evidence. Sachin sir wonders how the killer managed to hit her with the pot, since they saw nothing in the CCTV footage. Shreya wonders how the killer escaped after that. ACP sir decides to examine the balcony at the 8th floor, right above Shobha's apartment.
Scene 8
The team checks the 8th floor flat and finds a stand at the balcony, and marks of the pot having been pushed off. The building secretary says the flat is owned by some NRI and the keys are with him. ACP sir suspects him and the guy claims that the keys of vacant flats are in the office drawers and anybody in the society can retrieve them. ACP sir tells him off for the carelessness and orders him to gather all residents of the society below. He discusses with Sachin sir that when Shobha came out onto her balcony, somebody threw down the flower pot on her head.
Scene 9
Rachana is seen returning home from shopping, and she collides with a girl driving out from the parking lot who turns out to be none other than the maid we had seen in scene 1. She tries to escape, but Rachana seizes her and drags her along.
Scene 10
In the society, ACP sir explains to the residents how Shobha was murdered and suspects the killer to be among them. Rachana arrives and hands over the phony maid to the cops, explaining how she was trying to escape in disguise. The girl tries to talk her way out, but another resident recognizes seeing her as well. She tries to flee, but Shreya seizes and slaps her hard.
Scene 11
In the bureau, the girl Sheila tries to claim innocence but Freddy sir points out her overly expensive watch and sandals. ACP sir asks Purvi di to hand her a beating, and Sheila is scared into finally revealing that some unknown people desiring revenge against Shobha had called her and instructed her what to do, and she agreed since Shobha had picked up a fight with her when she used to work in a store and caused her to lose her job, and thus she desired revenge. She says she has been instructed to clean up the remains of the flower pot when it fell down after fatally hitting Shobha's head. She claims there was nobody up on the 8th floor and the pot fell by itself. ACP sir asks Nikhil to find out who had called Sheila with the instructions, and asks Daya sir to retrieve the broken pieces of the flower pot.
Scene 12
ACP sir, Daya sir, Jayawanti, Pankaj and Vansh are seen searching the trash bins around the society. Jayawanti finds fragments of the flower pot with blood upon them, and upon searching the sack of a garbage-picking lady there, they find a large box with address written upon it. ACP sir deduces who the killer is.
Scene 13
Manish is seen getting into his car at the parking lot when ACP sir directs a remote-controlled device with wheels towards him. Manish tries to flee but is captured and slapped by Daya sir.
Scene 14
We see Manish in the bureau along with most of the society residents. Manish confesses that all of them were fed up with Shobha and her behaviour and the ruckus she created daily, as a result of which the society had issued him a legal notice to vacate their flat. When he tried to divorce her, she threatened to file a case of domestic violence against him. Riteish says Shobha had kicked him out after finding out about his girlfriend Vaani, and thus he suggested to his father that they kill her and end all these troubles. They sought help of Shobha's enemies including Kishore and the secretary Naveen, and hatched a conspiracy to murder her.
Kavya knew about Shobha's fight with Sheila, and they got her on their side as well. Naveen ordered the remote-controlled trolley and Vaani, who was an engineer, modified it so that the flower pot could be placed upon it and then Kishore, Riteish and Kavya put the arrangement on the 8th floor. Shobha daily came out onto the balcony at 10:30 to yell at a vegetable vendor, so Manish lay in wait and then used the remote to drop the flower pot fatally on her head. Then he called his mother to distract the neighbours while Sheila cleaned up the smashed pot. ACP sir condemns their hideous crime, saying they could've at least tried to co-operate with Shobha and tried to arrange for some professional cure of her behaviour. He says that all of them will be punished severely.
