Interesting thread, i just want to say as a mother you really hope and pray that you do right by your children you stand with them through it all and if i feel that i can do something to prevent them from feeling pain then yes i would do it in a heartbeat with out thinking for when you see your child in pain, thats a little too much for a mother to handle, it breaks you up inside seriously. That being said i would like to make a comment on devika's mother nature: she is a bit extreme but her feelings for her kids i feel are true she just doesnt want her children to suffer the pain she has gone through, her expereinces with puru seem to have been extreme. and she has raised her kids single handedly even when her husband was around, that takes tremendous will power and strength to stand up and say i bore this kids and i will raise them. so hats off to lady who was both mother and father to her kids, plus growing a business worthy of praise...
and if she felt kasturi wasnt the right choice will who ever said their parents are perfect? but at the core she did what she thought was right at the time. and as a parent i can not condone her for trying to save her child from pain...not saying she's right just that i'm not going to crucify her over her actions...
as for nadini i couldnt really say she is much of a mother, she more or less likes to spoil her kids, and lets them make their own decisions, and then likes to correct them, i dont agree with this type of motherhood style, i'm more strict and so i can relate more to devika then nadini... though it would seem that nadini is a bit crazy for wealth she just hid it better then devika, and i think nadini is not a strong lady, she's falling apart at the seams and cant blame her....no parent should have to out live their child its not natural...
