A beautiful story dear. An innocent Khushi or Kusi as Arnav calls. The bond Khushi, Arnav, Akash and Maria share is so heart touching. Arnav is learning Hindi!!! But please let him call her Kusi. Khushi huffed as she tried to tighten the bodice of her Maria Jiji's wedding gown with great difficulty.

"Jiji, what's wrong with this thing?" Khushi asked as at last her patients gave up.

Maria bit her lips nervously. She knew it won't fit her anymore, but still she had hoped against hope.

"When you had tried it few weeks back, it was fine. What happened now, Jiji?" Khushi came and stood in front of her Jiji, her eyes roaming over her body. "Jiji...have you ...have you gained some weight?" Khushi asked awkwardly, because she had.

Maria looked down at herself nervously. "Hmm...Yes, I guess?" She looked up at Khushi's frowning face. Her shoulders slumped. Looks she she has no choice but to tell Khushi everything. "Khushe.." She took her hand and led her towards the bed. Sitting down, she turned to face Khushi.

"First promise me you won't tell anyone." Maria forwarded her hand.

Khushi looked at the hand extended towards her. She lifted her eyes to look at her Jiji. "Did you ate loads of cupcakes?"

Maria giggled. "No ... First promise me, and then I will tell you "

"OK" She kept her hand in hers. "Promise, I won't tell anyone. Now tell me .."

Maria looked down, deep crimson coloring her cheeks. "Khushe, the thing is ...I ...I am expecting ..."

Khushi stared at her for few seconds, then. "What are you expecting?" khushi frowned.

Maria looked at Khushi. She had not expected such a clam reception to her news."How would I know? We can tell what it is only when it will come out...boy or a girl" Maira shrugged her shoulder.

"Boy or girl?" Khushi looked at her confused. "You are expecting boy and girl?"

"Jesus! Khushe, ofcourse it will be a boy or a girl. Do you think I will be giving birth to some devil?" Maria asked agitated. First she didn't give her the reaction she was expecting, and now she asks her nonsense questions.

"Devil? Give birth? What are you talking Maria jiji"

"God Khushi, you can't expect me to blurt out the exact words." She blushed and looked down. Looks like she has no option but to say the very words. "I ... I am pregnant ... Me and Akash are going to have a baby ..."

"Pregnant? Baby? Hey Devi Maiya! You are going to have a baby? But you are not yet married. How did you get baby? I too want baby. Tell me how you got the baby!" Khushi hovered over Maria, her hands on her hips.

Maria stared at Khushi's pink face for few seconds. And then burst out laughing.

I am really sorry for vanishing. I know I have lots of PMs and Scraps to reply to. Really very very sorry for not replying to you guys. Had taken a break from writing. Now back at it. Will start updating all my stories :) Hope you guys liked the teaser
