she didn't take nikita with her when she left - she was only dropping both hriday and nikita at school on her way to her father's house. her plan is to only take hriday once she gets settled somewhere; she doesn't really care about the other children - remember her behavior favoring only hriday when dadi had her draw the line to separate the house and family.

nikita's parents both disappeared a while ago. i think they said something once in passing about where they are, but i don't remember the detail. if the show continues, i'm sure they will pop back in for some new storyline.
