Kehna Hi Kya ... Falling for the girl
Part I
Maan smiled as he walked towards the haveli with a sack of onions on his back feeling happy and relaxed after ages. He loved his life, mind you. He loved the corporate games he played with his rivals, loved the satisfaction he felt when a project completed and loved the respect he got from his peers and employees. But there was something refreshing about doing the menial job of carrying a sack of onions from one place to another. It was a task where he did not have to engage into some mind games, did not have to think on how to manipulate the situation; it was a simple mind numbing task of carrying a sack from one place to other. And that was why, the Corporate Tycoon of Dilli, one of the richest bachelors in the city, was doing menial jobs dressed in jeans and checkered shirt. It was different feeling, doing something for someone without thinking and rethinking his decision. It was plain old boring menial job. And Maan Singh Khurana welcomed it.
Lost in his thoughts, Maan failed to notice a young girl coming towards him and her presence only registered to him when she crashed into him. The shock of her body crashing into him had his hands dropping the sack and grabbing the girl. It was a reflex action and something he would be thankful for the years to come because that one action gave him the chance to be face to face with a lovely girl, the girl who stole his heart by just falling into his arms. He stared at her, mesmerized. She was beautiful, that was all Maan could think.
The girl had her eyes closed and when she opened it, Maan was beyond stunned because her eyes only seem to add more beauty to her face. She wasn't some dolled up city girl. No! She was an innocent girl from village and after the numerous make up clad women he saw in his day-today life, seeing her was a delight for him. Suddenly, someone interrupted them and they separated. He did not notice who was interrupting them and he did not care for what they were saying; his eyes were glued to her face.
Someone dragged the girl away and his heart pinched at the sight. But then the girl turned to look at him and his heart soared. She was affected by him too! Feeling excited, he grabbed the sack of onions and walked off! Yes! There was something refreshing about the menial jobs; because they now allowed him the luxury of thinking only about her.
Part One End!
