Tanvi has the right to feel jealous, as any woman would in her situation (her idea of obtaining Hrithik after marriage is a whole other topic😕). But she was quite crude in calling Shivanya poor which was said with such malice, and rubbing the fact that she is marrying Hrithik. It was low, and extremely classist in my opinion. I know she is a woman scorned because of Hrithik unintentional? betrayal. But there is a line between being jealous and downright rude.

Even the mom was being quite inconsiderate. I know her son is in great peril and she wants the wedding to go on smoothly. But Hrithik just said that Shivanya was being abused and berated, and he brought her to his home to protect her. And her immediate response is that there are institutions for that, why did you bring her here? He LITERALLY said she was being abused, and instead of being emphatic she was just coarse.

And then they had a very soap box ending with Hrithik saying that just because a woman is poor, they aren't a possession to be used and abused. I mean, beautiful PSA, but it felt a bit short with everything that was shown in the episode.

I think this is the end of my small rant. 😆

I don't think it was meant to be a PSA as much as it was meant to show the audience that Hritik is a good guy so justifying his actions (even his heart-eyes at Shivanya despite being committed to Tanvi). So for me, it didn't feel too short. It definitely felt like it was conveniently put there, but whatever LOL.

And I think Tanvi's comment on poorness was also to show how, as you said, she is classist. It's been mentioned and hinted at the show before that Tanvi is definitely enamoured by the fact that Hritik comes from money, not just him. So her comments make sense in that context.

But tbh, I don't know if there really is a line between being jealous and rude. I feel like one is the product of the other. When you're jealous of someone, you obviously don't behave nicely to them. But that's just me being picky LOL.

Personally, I felt it was very PSA-like. Maybe because I think it became a little too preachy after watching all the events unfold in the episodes.

I completely understand that Tanvi is suppose to come off as classist, but for some reason I really want to like her character. I do not want the other woman to be showed as someone horrible, but a good person. Therefore, I am upset that the character is going to go this route.

Even though one can be the byproduct of the other, there should at least be a filter in my opinion. Even if I am jealous, I still present a cordial front. I guess it does differ from person to person. And it might be because I want to like Tanvi that I am placing her under more scrutiny than other characters.

Different strokes for different people 😊

As for Tanvi, I'm confused on her too. I personally actually find her still generally likeable. She's not completely horrible. She does genuinely love Hritik I think and does care for him. She's just grown up thinking that he'll be hers and then out of nowhere she has some competition. She doesn't know how to react so she's going to go with her gut (be mean) and follow her mom's advice (let Hritik pursue his passions until the marriage). I think she comes across quite well as a confused character with no real malicious intent. And I actually find her behaviour very real as well in the show. I actually like how she's not completely perfect nor completely bad. But yes, like you said, her character can go either way and I hope, like you, that she does not turn completely bad.

There should be a filter between jealously and rudeness, no doubt about that. But the question is, can there always be one? Again, in Tanvi's case, I think her behaviour makes sense and is quite predictable. In her POV, another girl is stealing her man (which let's be real, kinda is true because Shivanya is targetting Hritik despite knowing he's a taken man). She's going to put up with the other woman until she gets her full rights, then she's going to kick the other woman out. Very predictable behaviour imo.

I think Tanvi's one of the more straight forward characters on the show LOL. And one of the more tolerable ones (at least for me haha. Cannot stand the drunk sister LOL).

I do find Tanvi likable and relatable in many moments throughout the show. Especially with her one on one interactions with Hrithik, where they in a sense behave like a married couple. Those are very real and tangible moments, and character seems grounded in reality. I think it is her sense of entitlement that ticks me off. But you are completely right, she has grown up with this forethought that this is mine and should always remain mine. And in the back of her head, that is all she is thinking. I do agree that at this point her character can sway either way, but I just don't want her to be evil. Because is she turns out to be bad, it will make Hrithik's reason to leave her simpler, and that is just a cop out in my opinion. I actually want there is a be struggle 😆.

Tanvi has become predictable, making snide comments to the woman who is basically stealing your man is completely predictable for someone raised in her situation. And by making her a little more human, I feel like I expect more out of her because she is a reel character. Which is a complete contradiction, I know. 😕. It is just very hard to pinpoint the character, and I am having trouble labeling her and half of me wants to really really like her. A couple more episodes might do the trick! But she is definitely tolerable in many scenes!

Honestly, the way Shivanya is targeting Hrithik is fascinating to me. Shiv seems to put no effort 😆, she simply is that amazing to Hrithik. She simply needs to be at the right place at the right time ⭐️.

Uuufff, drunk sister is really annoying. And she doesn't even seem to fulfill her purpose of being a comic relief. Half the time I am wondering when her liver/kidneys will fail . 😆

I have always defended tanvi to a certain extent because her behaviour is justified. she grew up thinking rithik will be hers and that dream is finally becoming a reality, no wonder she is rattled now that another girl has caught his attention in five days when she couldn't in 10 years. I get the bitterness and anger she feels sometimes.

Tanvi is jealous and insecure because rithik gives shivanya the attention only she has the rights to. as a retaliation, she is attacking what she considers to be shivanya's weakness-her financial situation. which makes tanvi a classist for sure, but considering her background, it is predictable. she is entitled but I hoped that she would seriously consider rithik's feelings for shivanya and ask him how deeply it goes. Because she is being unfair to rithik and herself, better to lay out everything in the open but she won't because she is afraid what his answer will be and her sense of entitlement won't let her.

Since this is a hindi serial, eveything is happening in a very unrealistic way. I so wished this mandap swap won't happen but looks like it will and when tanvi comes back from wherever she disappeared to, she will be enraged thus becoming a full fledged vamp. writers were openly villifying her for quite a while now.

Me too! I'm confused whether she is targeting him because everything is falling into place so easily. for sure she wants to use him as a tool in order to get close to the family but is she really targeting him?

Absolutely agree with green! Her anger is justified. But instead better of the situation, she believes it will fix itself.

I really hope she does as you said. That beyond what she wants from Hrithik, she considers Hrithik's emotions as well. She seems to want to keep him by any means necessary. Which is predictable, as you said. Her biggest problem is that she honestly believes that after they get married that everything Shiv and Hrithik will go away. And that will be her biggest downfall. Instead of trying to communicate in mature way, she is trying to sneaky and a little conniving.

This is what I most afraid her. The writing go the most typical cliche route to make Tanvi a vamp of the show. Is too much to ask for two woman to not be at each others throats. I absolutely agree that they are vilifying the character right in front of us. But I also split, because half the time she is likable, and the other half she isnt. So the writers are definitely toying with us.

I really want to know what Shiv will gain from targeting Hrithik. Besides getting "in" on the family, there has to be more. Because it doesn't seem to has a direct hand in the what happened 20 years ago. So there is some underlying motive.

Hindi serials-especially balaji has a very simplified approach to everything. they never add any layers, nuance, or grey shades to a character. someone is either very bad or very good and unfortunately, tanvi falls in the latter category. As much as I like this show, I'm becoming very cynical towards because I just don't see it going as I wanted it to. it is a finite show of only 36 episodes so was a shaadi via mandap swap necessary? this is just ekta's way of adding masala. god knows what else we will be subjected to after the wedding, more saas-bahu drama? this is a story of revenge, they could easily make shesha the villain without adding tanvi to the mix. I'm hoping to see well executed battle of good vs. evil between shivanya and shesha, not shivanya and tanvi, nor do i want to see any kitchen politics. Hopefully ekta realizes that people are not going to tune in on weekends to watch basic saas bahu stuff. this is a revenge drama at its core with romance, don't see where family melodrama fits.

I'm going to see how the the wedding drama pans out and the episodes afterwards, if it is not good then I will quit.

I agree, Balaji is one of the worst in using the same formula in the making of all their serials. They have strange trend where the "good" character is weak and little to humble for their own good, and the "bad" character has the smart mind that is capable of executing near perfect plans all the time. My introduction to Balaji was Kasamh Se, and I can honestly say that serial they only twist the brought was that good character became evil for a while. That was it.

I am with you, if they bring the typical M-F saas bahu drama to the show I might quit as well. This is not the reason I want to watch this show. I want to watch for the revenge aspect. Romance is fine, but let it be sidelined in the wake of the actual plot and point of the show. And I rather see Sesha and Shiv against each other, than Tanvi. Because that will be a kitchen politics type of fight, and I watch that M-F.

But the way the show is going right now, the revenge track might be sidelined for the romance/saas bahu stuff. And I wont stay to watch something like that, especially when there are finite number of episodes. I don't want to devote half the show to something that won't really further the plot.

Bold: this is what I am afraid of and shesha was not even in sunday's episode. hopefully they won't turn it into a typical tanvi vs. shivanya or tanvi and yamini vs. shivanya. if they do that, it will turn into kitchen politics/saas bahu melodrama. Ekta said this show will be full on masala. so maybe it will be mostly shivanya against shesha, but tanvi will play dirty tricks to fill 10 mins of air time. 🥱 this is whole mandap melodrama seems stupid, if she takes tanvi's place then won't she get caught? and the family members will label her as an gold digger. that hinders her revenge plan😕
as for shivanya and rithik. shivanya is only using him to get close to the family, as of now she has no plans to directly attack him and from how it looks, she may not even want him to fall for her. I'm not sure what her feelings are as of now but it does not even look like she wants to marry him.
