I know agreeing to play the maid is part of Gayatri's plan to get Ranaji to open his eyes and make it easier for him to separate himself from Sulakshana and not feel sorry for her, you see it wasn't that she's dumb rather she has a cunning plan to make her husband see the real face of Sulakshana and for him to choose her Gayatri over the other one.

@ tia, I completely agree with on Gayathri's decision. She is not not sure whether Ranaji really love her or still love Sulakshsna. But she wanted him to decide soon on whom he would care more. Its immaterial whether he choose Sulakshana or Gayathri, but he has to take a stand immediately. he can't keep both the ladies cringe with pain of not knowing their actual status in his life. One thing he made clear to the world that he accepts Sulakshana as his first wife and queen by crowing her. So in the public perspective, Gayathri has no value as a queen but a royal member. She may even accept her fate if he choose Sulakshana as his wife but can't stay as no one to him in the palace. Without his acknowledging her position, she is no more than a commoner and how it will be is a sample she tried here to show him.
