There is a saying that- Behind every mask, there is a face, behind that a story.
That story was told today when Preet Ishan Hooda revisited her traumatic past, haunting memories and still afresh bleeding wounds by chance while sharing an accidental intimate moment with her husband. . A story of loss - of her loved ones, of her dreams, of her future, of her peace of mind,lastly loss of sense of feeling the love.She is yet to heal and still wounded. But how effortlessly she hid this story behind her happy_go lucky, ever smiling, vivacious self portraying to live a perfect life of sunshine. Is that real Preet Ishan Hooda who cares for all, who is solution to every problem, who is source of laughter in Hooda house, a perfect companion to a caring husband, a selfless mother to a child who does not even belong to her in conventional manner? I guess the answer we got today- A BIg No. That's the mask she is wearing to conceal her share of darkness, to disguise as that chirpy chatterbox who cant hide anything from any one, but can so clinically hide the secret demons she is fighting with each day for last few years. We got to see the scarred face rehtoday which surely does not look as glossy as we think when we go deeper. will it be it ekilinappropriate to say that no one knows real identity of Preet too , just like no one knows Rizwan Ahmed khan. Preet known to all, is the mask she is wearing , a superficial layer posing as perfect person. Is that her true self? how ironical that behind those laughter, there is outcry to get healed, to get freed from nightmares. every thing is a pack of lies, a make belief world for both these protagonists.
We all were surprised to know that Ishan Hooda was living a life of duality and felt bad seeing his conflict.But by today's revelation, it got cleared that his better half is living with a secret identity too, so that no one can ever sneak into her past which not only broke her, but made us shell shocked.
As both are hiding the real Ishan and Preet from each other, it would not be a wrong thing to say that both are living with a veil and when that would get removed, it would be living hell in front of them, fighting not only with own demons but with each other too with intense, raging emotions.
The revelations which came into picture today not only revealed Preet's dark past, also a forecast the amount of damage it will cause, the amount of pain it will inflict on Preet. Her trauma will increase in due course of time when she would come to know that Rizwan was very much present there on that day though unknowingly. But does that even matter to a woman who still gets so much scared with little bit of intimacy or shivers with a mere touch of a man? She looses her sense of self while remembering the moments and fails to recognise the man she loves at present. I don't even want to imagine what would be her reaction when she would know that very man whom she loves and who somehow helps her to see brightness in this darkness, was resposnsible too for her fate. It would be too heart breaking and major show down obviously- I fear it will be another devastating event for both , in which they would only loose what ever they have gathered as small broken pieces as companions.
So till that dawn of darkness visits Preet Ishan Hooda again, let her live with this mask, in this bubble struggling with her demons, battling with her past with a hope that this illusion like present somehow heals her even if it is incomplete, let her love for the masked man in her life see some more sunshine before it takes a leave for a long time.
p.s- As I mentioned in some other posts, today acting was top notch from both the leads. Mona finally excelled in that past revelation scene, Iqbal in realisation and confrontation. Its a great duel between the two actors and surely treat for us. So big round of applause for both.šššāļø
Lot happened with Rizwan ahmed khan's journey too. But let this post remain only for Preet- a scarred soul hiding behind a beautiful mask.
