Dadi hands the papers to Raja asking him to sign them. She summarises whats written in the contract papers, but because of the noise Nandini doesn't hear a word. Dadi informs Raja that once the property is on Aryan and Nilima's name, he will have no right over it, and can't interfer on any of the decisions taken by the two. Raja says he's a Thakur, will die but not go back on his word, he says to let the marriage happen first, however Dadi refuses saying the papers will be signed first and then the marriage will happen. Nandini tries her best to hear but fails too. Dadi says Raja is only giving up his property, where as Dadi is giving up her family's heir...Raja has teary eyes and a sweet childhood flashback is shown. Raja signs the papers, Dadi gives a copy to Raja, and leaves. Raja leaves as well, and Nandini hides behind the plant pot. Nandini wonders what was in the papers and promises to find out.
Baraat arrives. Aryan wonders whether Raja signed the papers. Nilima asks Aryan to come off the horse. Aryan asks her to wait, sees Dadi, and Dadi smiles, Aryan is happy and realises the job is done, and comes off the horse.
Nandini follows Raja into his room. Raja hides the property papers into his bag, Nandini sees this. Raja then leaves the room, Nandini hides so Raja doesn't see her, and then enters the room.
Meanwhile, the baraat reaches the door, everyone stands and welcomes the baraat. Raja in his heart says he is very happy, even though he's lost his property, he is happy that Nandini will be very happy with her love.
Nandini is in the room, looking for the bag where the papers have been hidden. (there were more bags in the room)
Raja is about to do Aryan's aarti, when Nilima comes and says this is the girl's bhabhi's right. All smile, Nilima comes and does Aryan's aarti.
Nandini is looking through the bags, trying to find the papers. She empties the bags and doesn't find anything, she looks stressed when she notices the papers.
Aryan bends to seek Raja's blessings, where he stops him and says he is the son-in-law of their house, his place is not in the feet. Raja washes Aryan's feet with water, and Nilima wipes them. (its a part of their tradition)
Nandini opens the papers, and reads them. She is shocked to realise that Raja has given up his property. Nandini has teary eyes and realises that Raja has given up his property for her happiness.
Preview: Nandini is shown putting the varmala (flowers) around Aryan's neck, but she looks sad and upset, and looks towards Raja. Aryan notices Nandini's sad face.
