Bhavna Shroff : This case started with the missing of young leader, Apoorva Shroff and his wife, Bhavna Shroff meeting Kabir to help her in finding her husband. However, thanks to Ananya's meticulous observations and analytical skills, that very soon she realizes that Apoorva Shroff has been murdered and Bhavna is somewhere involved in it. Later, Kabir exposes her in front , in front of the entire audience, on air. The interview taken by Kabir of Bhavna and the proceedings of this case was very subtle and realistic. There were many concrete evidences such as the blood stain on the side of the painting gifted by Bhavna to Kabir, the change of voice, etc. from which not only the characters but, we, as audience also realized the fact this was a typical case of deceit and culpable homicide of IPC 1860.

Baaghi Madhonath : Though, we remember Baaghi Madhonath's case as the base of Kabir- Ananya's relationship, but from the legal point of view, as well, this case was important. This case came under Naxalite Acts of Terrorism which is a recurrent problem of India for many years. Naxalites have their own reasons and rules for behaving so but this is the fact that due to their activities, many times the common citizens come in problems. The same problem was also beautifully covered way back in movie Roja. While, that movie showed the human side of naxalites, in Reporters, they sounded more real and dangerous. Madho easily could be booked under many charges under Indian Law. That is the reason, Khurana could easily arrest Baaghi Madhonath under abduction and attempt to murder apart from the above mentioned act.

Nalini Verma : This case, being a pure love story, did not come under any law but pure love itself is a law, so hats off to Team Reporters for dealing with this beautiful subject in an ultra beautiful manner.

Bhavna Shroff and Baaghi Madhonath:

After the Chibber murder case, I loved the Bhavna Shroff case one as it showcased the analytical and observation skills of reporters...these are some of the vital qualities to succeed in the profession.

That said, I am not sure if it is intentional or otherwise, but apart from all the details you mentioned related to these cases, there was also one vital aspect that Reporters tried to showcase. The ability to get publicity by manipulating the media. Yes, even media can be manipulated, and both Bhavna and Madhonath tried to manipulate the media in their own way - by giving exclusive coverage rights or interview.

The news channel gets it exclusive breaking news, the people involved get their 2-minutes under the sun, reiterating the quote - "No news is bad news!"

Nalini Verma : You said it! Love is a law unto itself! So, nothing else to add... 😊

I guess, that goes behind that curtains. its by default. If celebrities or ministers dont manipulate media then who else will do?

In this case, both Bhavna Shroff and Baaghi were not simple people. Bhavna was the wife of an upcoming dynamic leader and Madhonath was a Naxalite leader. From times immemorial, there have been number of celebrities using media for their own vested interests. These days, we find so called religious leaders shouting on media to get attention... Lets not get very far, recently the interview of Ex Prime Minister of our neighbouring country to the media is a burning example of this.
